Applicants seeking admission into the nursing program at Tusculum College are required to submit scores for the HESI Admission Assessment (A2) Examination. (NOTE: High school seniors will submit ACT scores in lieu of A2 exam scores.) The A2 exam is a proctored exam administered in a computer lab. The A2 exam is administered at Tusculum College, as well as other colleges and over 350 Prometric Testing Centers across the United States.
Students applying to Tusculum College’s nursing program should register and take the following sections of the A2 exam: math, reading comprehension, vocabulary, anatomy & physiology, learning styles and critical thinking abilities.
Scores submitted to the Nursing Program must be within two years of the anticipated admission date.
Available testing dates at Tusculum College are:
March 3, 2014, from 3:30 to 7:30 pm
All testing will be in the Annie Hogan Byrd Building, Computer Lab, room 102.

To schedule a testing appointment to take the A2 exam at Tusculum College:
1. Pay the testing fee at the College’s Business Office
2. Bring your receipt to the School of Nursing office to schedule a testing appointment. The Nursing office is located in the Niswonger Commons building, room 412. Office hours on most days is 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Please note the office may be closed during the lunch hour.
On the day of your scheduled examination, report to the computer lab at least 20 minutes before the start of the examination. You will be required to show your appointment card, and your government issued identification (driver’s license or photo ID card). The examination will start on time. Applicants will not be admitted into the exam if they arrive late and/or do not have appropriate government issues identification. The A2 exam consists of several parts. Applicants will have to complete each part within the allotted time period.
