Academic Support

Student Services offers a variety of quality academic support services to assist in the development of lifelong learners. Please feel free to explore our website or contact us with any questions that you might have.

There are a number of ways to get academic support through our office. All services are offered free to all Tusculum students:

1). Browse the Online Support
We have a number of links to online resources  that can help students with math, math anxiety, grammar, writing, and APA guidelines.

2). Request a Tutor
Students can request one-on-one tutoring for math or writing assistance in any undergraduate level course. To request a Tutor at a NE site (Greeneville, Gray, or Morristown) please contact jljones@tusculum.edu. To request a Tutor at the Knoxville site, please contact tmckay@tusculum.edu.

3). Attend a Workshop
There are a variety of workshops that are offered periodically. Students may attend any workshop that they feel will help them. Pre-registration is not required. Here are topics that are currently being addressed in our workshops:

  • APA Style
  • Economics
  • Math for Business
  • Math for Education
  • Math for Praxis I
  • Test Taking Strategies
  • Writing for Praxis I

Please contact Tom McKay at tmckay@tusculum.edu if you would like to request a workshop or if you have any general questions regarding academic support.
