Theran Mugleston, assistant professor of management, has extensive professional experience in the private sector to share with his students. He has been a manager/contracts/subcontract administrator for Washington Group/Morrison Knudsen/Harbert Yeargin; a field procurement manager for Foster Wheeler, and a subcontract administrator for Houston Lighting & Power, Stone & Webster, and EG&G Idaho.
At Tusculum, Dr. Mugleston teaches courses in organizational theory design, organizational behavior, research, leadership, and strategy. Prior to coming to Tusculum, he served as an adjunct faculty member at Park University, Central Texas College, Webster University, and East Central Community College.
Dr. Mugleston earned his doctorate from Walden University and a master’s of business administration from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. He currently serves as the editor of the news letter for the only Cyber-Chapter within PDK (Walden University), and is the moderator of an on-line Christian list-serv. His interests outside the classroom include reading and listening to classical music. He is active in his church and serves as a lay person in local missionary outreach activities. He also enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife have five children and seven grandchildren with another on the way.
