Lay has a Master of Arts in professional counseling from Richmont Graduate University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a concentration in business administration from Carson-Newman College. “I am honored to be given the opportunity to serve Tusculum College in this capacity. I look forward to building networking relationships with employers, alumni, faculty, administrators and students,” said Lay.
In her new position, Lay will be responsible for the development of student internship opportunities, working with employers and monitoring and advertising to students for testing dates for graduate schools, workshops and programs. In addition Lay will oversee the co-curricular transcript program and assist students in the exploration and development of future career plans, as well as with resume writing and interviewing skills.
“Robin brings a depth of experience to the Career Services office that will allow us to serve all our students at a greater level than before,” said Melissa Ripley, director of admissions. “She has served traditional and non-traditional students in undergraduate and graduate programs, assisting them in developing career paths to help them reach their goals. Our students will have those opportunities as well.”
Lay began her new duties in June.
