Dr. Jonita Ashley-Pauley, associate dean of students, recently presented at a national conference of Student Affairs Assessment and Research hosted by the Ohio State University. The conference was designed for higher education professionals to engage in conversations about how assessment and research serve to enrich the student experience. During the session, Dr. Pauley presented on her research into the assessment practices of student affairs programs at small colleges and her personal experience in pursuing assessment in student affairs in a session entitled “Everyone’s Doing It. Or Are They? Student Affairs Assessment Practices at Small Private Colleges.” The keynote speaker for the event was John Schuh, a nationally-renowned expert in the field of assessment with more than 235 publications regarding the topic.
