Journalism and Professional Writing Senior Readings set for Thursday, Dec. 5

Jonathan Nash and Destini Wingerter will be presenting their senior capstone projects this Thursday, Dec. 5, at 3:45 p.m. in Library, Room 105. Nash will be talking about “ESPN’s Integrity Standard: The Evolution and Controversial Methods of Sports Journalism,” and Wingerter’s subject is “Public Relations Intertwined with Social Media.” Nash serves as senior editor of Frontier Magazine. He majors in journalism with minors in creative writing and digital media. After graduation, he aspires to become a sports journalist, in any aspect of sports media. Wingerter, also a journalism and professional writing major and staff writer for Frontier Magazine, plans to pursue a career in medical writing or public relations after graduation. Both presentations fulfill requirements for “Senior Seminar in Professional Writing,” which is the capstone course for the major. All journalism and professional writing students are expected to attend.
