The Education Department at Tusculum College seeks an Assistant Professor of Education to teach undergraduate professional education courses in the initial licensure programs on the Tusculum College campus beginning in the fall of 2014. Responsibilities include teaching courses in mainly in Special Education and also in Foundations of Education and Classroom Management, as well as other courses as assigned by the Department Chair. Additional responsibilities include service to the college and community, professional development and scholarship activities, and advising, as well as departmental and committee duties.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum qualifications: MA or equivalent in the field of education (terminal degree strongly preferred), state level teaching licensure in Special Education, 10 years of experience as a public school teacher or administrator; a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching; and a demonstrated interest in scholarship.
