DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS:
Tusculum College’s new Criminal Justice program invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Criminal Justice. This is a full time position supportive of enrollment growth for traditional aged and adult students on the Greeneville campus as well as at the College’s three approved off-site locations in Knoxville, Morristown, and Kingsport. This position will be directly involved in program and curriculum development as well as recruitment for the program. Tusculum College is primarily a teaching institution, and applicants should be committed to teaching excellence. Faculty members are expected to advise students, serve on college committees and participate in curriculum/program development and assessment.
Although the anticipated start date will be August 2014, it is flexible while the review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Preferred qualifications are an earned doctorate degree (or in process) in Criminal Justice or Criminology, or a related field, from an accredited institution, and demonstrated excellence in teaching and program development. It is also preferred that successful candidates possess a minimum of 18 graduate hours in sociology. Minimum qualifications include a Master’s Degree with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Criminal Justice or Criminology from an accredited college or university and previous full-time teaching experience.
