Math Education Adjunct Comments Off

 DESCRIPTION:

The Graduate and Professional Studies (GPS) program of Tusculum College seeks qualified adjunct faculty in Math Education, particularly focused on teaching elementary (K-5) mathematics methods to graduate and undergraduate preservice teachers.  GPS offers non-traditional, accelerated, adult-oriented classes. Most classes meet nightly once a week for eight weeks with an online or learning team component; the courses involved are offered at the Knoxville and Morristown campuses.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates must have a terminal degree with at least 18 graduate hours in mathematics education or a related discipline. The qualified applicant will have experience teaching mathematics using manipulatives with a focus on developing deep understanding of mathematical concepts. Prior experience with adult students is preferred as well as experience teaching web-enhanced courses using an on-line course delivery system. Preference will be given to applicants who are able to travel to both the Knoxville and Morristown sites, but those limited to Knoxville will receive full consideration.

DESCRIPTION:

Tusculum College is seeking applications for an Enrollment Representative at the Knoxville Center. The primary responsibility of this position is to educate prospective students about Tusculum College and its programs. Candidates are required to develop a rapport with a variety of other constituents including business, faculty, TC staff, alumni, and current students. Travel will be extensive and on an “as needed” basis to local businesses, schools, career fairs, and expositions East Tennessee and surrounding borders. Tusculum College is seeking applications for a Facilities Management Supervisor of Warehousing and Inventory. The successful applicant must possess a strong understanding of sourcing and procurement standards in addition to experience with electronic tracking systems, the ability to perform research and cost analysis, generate reports, and develop processes for greater efficiency and tracking. In addition to management of all warehousing and inventory, the individual will supervise a comprehensive program that includes housekeeping, building maintenance, grounds, and skilled trades to ensure the maintenance of buildings, grounds, administrative buildings, athletic facilities, staff and residential housing, and other institutional buildings. This position participates in campus planning for new construction, renovations and campus upkeep. Qualifications include five years’ experience in a supervisory position, strong organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to multi-task and work independently and collaboratively.

Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs for Graduate and Professional Studies Comments Off

Tusculum College (TC), the first college in Tennessee, located on a scenic 140-acre campus in the Great Smoky Mountains region of Greeneville with campuses in Knoxville and Morristown, invites nominations and applications for the position of Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs for Graduate and Professional Studies (AVPAA-GPS).
