Tusculum College School of Arts and Sciences invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Fine & Performing Arts (Visual Communications Design). Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate courses in Graphic Design, including web design and publication design, and in Digital Media, including ID sculpting and modeling. Candidates should be passionate educators who can facilitate the needs of diverse learners. Candidates should demonstrate a mastery of their specific discipline; a deep commitment to the College mission of providing a liberal arts education with pathways for career preparation, personal development, and civic engagement. Technology competencies as well as teaching/advising skills and strategies that facilitate 21st century literacies; the use of resources that prepare students for productive lives; experience using various educational technological mediums (experience with online teaching and the development of online courses preferred). Additional responsibilities to include advising students, committee work, and departmental duties. Tusculum College places special importance on helping under-prepared students achieve academic success. All schedules require office hours and some may require evening and/or weekend hours. Salary is negotiable and dependent upon education and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must have an M.F.A. in Graphic Design, and sufficient familiarity with digital media, or an M.F.A. in Digital Media, or related field and work experience/proficiency in Graphic Design. Candidates must be competent in Adobe Illustrator, Dreamweaver, InDesign, and Photoshop, as well as various digital media software such as, Adobe Muse, Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, 3D Studio Max or Maya, and Mudbox.
