This position will assist in the production of printed publications and news releases for all 16 intercollegiate sports which include editing, writing and lay-out design; assist in maintenance of the athletic web site; coordination, scheduling, evaluation and training of student staff; assist with game-day management. Travel with teams for selected events is also necessary. Other duties include set-up and clean-up of media areas. Directly responsible for all media relations for the sports of men’s soccer, women’s soccer, women’s basketball, softball, men’s lacrosse and women’s lacrosse, publicity, statistics, archives, news releases and game day management. Other duties include public address announcements, music coordination, etc.; other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics and the Director of Athletic Media Relations.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree preferred; work experience in a sports information office and/or statistical experience (i.e., Statcrew/Automated Scorebook) and experience in desktop publishing are preferred.
