Facilities Management IV Comments Off

DESCRIPTION:

Tusculum College is accepting applications for a Facilities Management IV.  This position reports to the Director of Facilities Management.  The successful applicant must be capable of performing semi-skilled and skilled HVAC work.  Preference will be given to the candidate possessing knowledge and experience in several other specialty areas, including electrical, plumbing, master carpentry, masonry, or other maintenance and construction skilled work on athletic facilities, College buildings and fixtures, including administrative buildings, staff and residential housing, and other institutional buildings for efficient operations.  Duties include inspecting, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing issues, repairing, overhauling, new installations, and refitting with specialty areas and assist in all other areas.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Five years experience in a maintenance position, EPA universal certification a plus.  Candidate must possess strong organizational and analytical skills along with the ability to multi-task, and possess the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Tusculum College is accepting applications for a Facilities Management Level III.  This position reports to Director of Facilities Management.  The successful applicant must be capable of performing a variety of semi-skilled and skilled duties in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, construction, painting, and installation. This position inspects, maintains and repairs the college’s building structures and fixtures for administrative buildings, athletic facilities, staff housing, residential housing, and other institutional buildings for efficient operations.

DESCRIPTION:

Tusculum College is taking applications for Facilities Management II.  This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining College grounds, athletic fields and facilities, administrative buildings, staff and residential housing, and other institutional buildings.  Candidates must be able to walk extended distances and lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Head Men’s and Women’s Track/Assistant Cross Country Coach Comments Off

Tusculum College, a member of NCAA DII and South Atlantic Conference, is currently seeking applications for a Head Men’s and Women’s Track/Assistant Cross Country Coach.  This position is a full-time, twelve-month appointment with a comprehensive benefits package.  Candidates are responsible for the administration and management of all aspects of highly successful and competitive varsity men and women’s indoor/outdoor track and field program and assists with all facets of the cross-country program.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, recruit and retain qualified student-athletes, practice and game preparation, athlete development, coaching/teaching, budget management, travel coordination, fundraising for sport and department, and other areas of administration.  Maintaining a working relationship with campus colleagues, alumni, community members, and other constituents is crucial.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years collegiate coaching experience preferably at an NCAA institution, and the ability to monitor crowd control.  The ideal candidate will have previous college running and coaching experience with an understanding of the DII philosophy and its role at a private liberal arts institution.  Candidate must also possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills, communicate both effectively (verbal and written), have the ability to multi-task and operate within an extremely motivated, team-oriented atmosphere.  Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Athletics.

The School of Nursing at Tusculum College is seeking a Bachelor degreed Nurse with 2 years experience in an acute care clinical setting to provide clinical and simulation laboratory instruction to nursing students and maintain the working condition of the nursing and simulation labs and equipment. This position will be responsible for planning, initiating, directing, and facilitating activities in the nursing and simulating labs as well as collecting and collating data related to student learning outcomes. The Nursing Lab Coordinator is to be committed to excellence in teaching and is expected to contribute toward the good of the College through the maintenance of expertise in the discipline, and sharing time and talents with the larger College community.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Preferred qualifications are an earned Master’s Degree in Nursing. Must have a current and unencumbered license, or be eligible for licensure as a professional register nurse in the State of TN. American Heart Association’s BLS for Healthcare Providers also required. Experience in higher education and/or working with students and previous experience working with high-tech simulators are preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is needed. Must possess strong oral and written communication skills, be highly organized, detail oriented, and able to multi-task. Ability to use technology and innovative approaches to enhance teaching and learning are desirable.

Must be able to travel to clinical sites and different campus locations, pass drug screening and extensive background check, lift 30 pounds or more, sit for long periods of time, climb stairs, and perform all nursing skills competently, correctly and safely.

Telecounselors Comments Off

DESCRIPTION:

The Office of Admission is currently seeking applications for three telecounseling positions that will work evenings 16-20 hours per week. The primary responsibility is to represent Tusculum by contacting prospective students of the College to educate them about scholarship opportunities and other important aspects of the admission process. This position requires the individual to sit for long periods at a time and wear a headset. The hours are Monday –Thursday from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, occasional weekend work may be required.

Director of Graduate and Professional Studies (GPS) Services Comments Off

The Director of GPS Services reports to the Vice President of Enrollment Management and Marketing/Director of Graduate and Professional Studies and works with Enrollment Management staff and faculty to coordinate academic programs related support services on the Knoxville and Morristown sites and to develop and meet student enrollment and retention goals for the Knoxville and Morristown sites. The Director of GPS Services coordinates with the Director of GPS Enrollment, the ARCHES program director, and the Knoxville Library Administrator to assure seamless provision of services to the students and faculty assigned to the Knoxville and Morristown sites. The Director of GPS Services is responsible for oversight of all operations, including facilities; security and support services of the Knoxville and Morristown Regional Centers of Tusculum College. The Director of GPS Services collaborates with the Director of GPS Enrollment to represent Tusculum College to key business, industry, community leaders and community college faculty, staff and administration and to promote and schedule community events and meetings on the Knoxville and Morristown sites. The Information Systems Department at Tusculum College invites applicants for a full-time staff position in Instructional / Course Design. Candidates should be passionate educators who can facilitate the needs of diverse learners. The selected person will provide instructional and program design expertise for the development and support of online courses and specialized distance educational programs. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting faculty in the design of online coursework/programs and instructional practices, development of learning resources and re-visioning of courses and course segments to electronic delivery methods. They will support the customized development of online courses unique to the needs of the instructor and students. Work is performed under limited supervision and performance is based upon completion of assignments and results obtained. This job will also include some training responsibilities on the distance education equipment / software currently in use. Salary is negotiable and dependent upon education and experience.
