Dr. Dennis Ashford graduated Summa Cum Lauda in 2010 from Northern Kentucky University with a B.S. degree in Chemistry with a focus on organic chemistry. He then attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill working under Professors Thomas J. Meyer and Joseph L. Templeton as a Department of Energy Office of Science graduate fellow. He received his Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry in 2014 working on artificial photosynthesis.
Following graduation, he worked at Eastman Chemical Company as a Senior Research Chemist studying the interfacial characteristics between thin film electrodes and biological solutions. He joined the Tusculum College faculty in 2017 as an Assistant Professor. In his free time Dennis enjoys whitewater kayaking and mountain biking.
