Ms. Jamie Cyphers is one of Tusculum’s newest faculty members. She joined Tusculum College in 2017. She is a instructor in Talent Development program and serves as an instructional designer for the Education Department. She earned an Associate of Arts in Education from Northeast State Community College in 2006, her Bachelors of Arts in English and Education from East Tennessee State University in 2008, and a Masters of Science in Instructional Technology as well as a graduate certificate in Online Teaching and Learning from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville in 2016.
Before arriving at Tusculum, Ms. Cyphers was an instructor for the Humanities and Social and Behavioral Sciences divisions at Northeast State Community College as well as a faculty senate member. Her time at Northeast State led to her research interests in digital literacy, access, and open educational resources and their effects on Appalachian students. She also serves as tutor and content and web developer for the Kingsport Literacy Council.
