Health Science and Vision Science Librarian

The College of Health Sciences at Tusculum University is currently seeking a Health Science and Vision Science Librarian for its College of Optometry; this is a full-time position. Develops and provides instruction in information literacy, research, citation styles, and library orientation for the University’s health science and optometry programs. Collaborates and coordinates with faculty and other library staff to provide a cohesive and proactive service program. Represents library on college wide committees and taskforces.

Candidate must have a MLS or MLIS from an ALA-accredited school, a minimum of one to three years’ experience in an academic library, and demonstrated ability to search scientific literature databases. Candidate we need to have the ability to work independently and in groups, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to demonstrate teaching ability and have a strong service commitment.

This position requires the candidate to have the ability to work nights and weekends as required in fulfillment of duties.
