Assistant Professor of English

The English & Languages Department at Tusculum University invites applicants for an instructor position in English for classes offered online and/or on our residential campus. Candidates should have credentials in American literature. Teaching assignments will include courses in minority literatures. Preference will be given to candidates who also have a background in creative writing, especially poetry. Candidates should be passionate educators who can facilitate the needs of diverse learners; demonstrate a commitment to diversity and inclusion and the creation of culturally-responsive learning environments; and exhibit a mastery of their specific discipline.

Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in English. Strong preference will be given to candidates who have a PhD or are ABD. Candidates must have a mastery of technological competencies and teaching and advising strategies that facilitate 21st century literacies. Teaching experience strongly preferred.
