This position will also oversee Pioneer WOW, advise the Student Government Association, oversee Resident Assistants, and serve as the point of contact for registering and maintaining student clubs and organizations. The Coordinator will coordinate with campus constituencies to plan and manage student engagement activities throughout the academic year.<\/p>\n<p>EDUCATION\/EXPERIENCE:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master\u2019s degree required;<\/li>\n<li>Earned educational credentials preferred within (but not limited to) the following disciplines: college student life, college student personnel, higher education administration, counseling, or related fields;<\/li>\n<li>Experience in Residence Hall management, student staff supervision, problem solving, and conflict resolution.<\/li>\n<li>Experience planning and implementing student engagement programming in a higher education environment required; and<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with underrepresented and\/or minority student populations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supports and promotes the mission, vision, values, and strategic plan of Tusculum University.<\/li>\n<li>Work collaboratively with the campus community to develop educational programming and\/or quality student life programming;<\/li>\n<li>Welcome Orientation Week (WOW)<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Pioneer WOW schedule of events<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Organize events<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Delegate event planning<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Serve as WOW committee chair<\/li>\n<li>Lead Week of Welcome schedule of events, organizing of events, Pioneer Peer<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement training programs for residence hall staff and Pioneer Peers;<\/li>\n<li>Serve as the Office of Student Affairs advisor to the Student Government Association (SGA), Tusculum Activities Board (TAB), assist with leadership development for clubs and organizations, and provide guidance in planning student engagement events across each semester;<\/li>\n<li>Provide data and metrics for programming to the Vice President for Student Affairs and Retention;<\/li>\n<li>Assist Student Affairs in managing housing matters;<\/li>\n<li>Develop, collaborate, and communicate events for the Pioneer Week of Welcome, Homecoming, Pioneer Weekend, and the Lantern Ceremony.<\/li>\n<li>Provide oversight and provide data for all intramural programs \u2022 Provide oversight for Resident Assistant supervision, recruitment, hiring, placement, training, 1:1s, duty procedures\/protocol, staff meetings, mid-year evaluations, job actions, and Health and safety<\/li>\n<li>Assist in carrying out daily Office of Student Affairs functions;<\/li>\n<li>Maintain on-call responsibilities during opening, closing, assigned breaks, and throughout the operational year as assigned by the Vice President for Student Affairs and Retention \u2022 Participate in student pick-up\/drop-off shuttle services to and from regional airports<\/li>\n<li>Follows academic and other related administrative policies; and<\/li>\n<li>Promotes the mission of Tusculum University to all faculty, staff, students, and community at large.<\/li>\n<li>Supports and promotes Mission Engagements (Organizer and data Collector).
