NETWORK OPERATIONS<\/h5>\n

Students are encouraged to bring their own computers or to make use of the computer lab on campus. Every residence hall room at Tusculum University has 24 hour per day access to our local area network (LAN), which is included with the cost of tuition.<\/p>\n

This means that every student with a computer in his\/her room and an Ethernet network card (which can purchased at most computer stores) will able to browse the Internet via our high-speed link.<\/p>\n

RESNET UPGRADE<\/h5>\n

Tusculum University students living on campus have the option to upgrade their Internet connections to a broadband service provided by College Cable Services.<\/p>\n

Under the agreement, College Cable Services offers an optional high speed broadband cable modem Internet service in all Tusculum University residence halls and campus houses.<\/p>\n

The ResNet offering by College Cable Services will provide the bandwidth necessary for students who play World of Warcraft, for example.<\/p>\n

CAMPUS WI-FI<\/h5>\n

Tusculum University has deployed two campus Wi-Fi networks. One wireless network is dedicated to student access, and the other is primarily for the instructional and administrative activities of our faculty and staff members. The Wi-Fi networks make the Tusculum campus friendly for mobile computing devices and smartphones.<\/p>\n
