{"id":159,"date":"2011-01-06T18:29:11","date_gmt":"2011-01-06T18:29:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www3.tusculum.edu\/mytusculum\/presidentsociety\/"},"modified":"2017-08-05T01:32:42","modified_gmt":"2017-08-05T01:32:42","slug":"application-process","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www3.tusculum.edu\/mytusculum\/presidentsociety\/application-process\/","title":{"rendered":"HOW TO APPLY"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Thank you for your interest in applying for Tusculum College President\u2019s Society.<\/h3>\n<p><strong>This elite group of student ambassadors plays an integral role in the admission process for prospective students and their families, as well as in campus community events.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The criteria for potential members to begin the application process include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Being a full-time traditional student, having completed one semester at Tusculum College before submitting an application.<\/li>\n<li>Be in good academic standing, maintaining a minimum 2.75 GPA.<\/li>\n<li>Have the willingness and drive to voluntarily serve as an advocate, leader, and role model.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For students meeting the above criteria, the application process for the organization consists of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A completed Tusculum College President\u2019s Society Application.<\/li>\n<li>A list of extracurricular activities honors and awards. If you are currently employed or plan to be employed within the next year, please list employer and number of hours per week.<\/li>\n<li>A one to two page narrative explaining why you wish to become a member of Tusculum College President\u2019s Society. Please address the following in the narrative:\n<ul>\n<li>Describe how you knew Tusculum College was the right fit for you and how our Block schedule helps you to succeed.<\/li>\n<li>What you would like to learn from the organization.<\/li>\n<li>Qualities you have to contribute to the organization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Two letters of recommendation from members of Tusculum College\u2019s faculty and\/or staff.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please take a moment to review the Tusculum College President\u2019s Society Organization Information before proceeding with the application process.<br \/>\nThis will give you more information on the application process, who we are, and what we do.<\/p>\n<p>For additional information please contact Chelsey B.
