Members of the Tusculum College Pioneer football team were among about 50 volunteers who worked at Tusculum College on Tuesday to finish cleaning up residence halls to be ready for occupancy by football student-athletes returning to the College the next day for practice and for the upcoming fall academic semester. Others who volunteered included Resident Advisors, members of the College coaching staff and staffers from the Office of Student Affairs. In two and a half hours the group, working with the College housekeeping staff, cleaned two entire apartment-style residence hall buildings, washing down the walls and every refrigerator, microwave oven, toilet and sink in the buildings. About 50 people worked on the project, and had the residence halls ready for occupancy when football players arrived the following day. Shown above cleaning one of the rooms are, from left, Pioneer foot ball players Rashaad Montgomery, Calhoun, Ga.; Jarvis Littlejohn, Gaffney, S.C.; Altorien Reed (foreground), Brunswick, Ga.; Robbee Woodard, Mobile, Ala.; and JaMichael Caldwell, Chattanooga.
