Bridwell will oversee daily operations of all recruitment efforts and manage admission and processing. She will hire recruitment staff, direct targeted recruitment campaigns and manage the budget. Bridwell will also assist with recruitment trips to high schools and community colleges and build even stronger lasting relationships with leaders there.

“Dawn is an impressive leader whose strategic mindset with recruiting and relationship development produces excellent results,” said Dr. Ramona Williams, Tusculum’s vice president of enrollment management and financial aid. “She will build on our achievements and develop new recruitment approaches that will position Tusculum for additional growth.”

Bridwell comes to Tusculum from East Tennessee State University, where she served as assistant director of admissions for recruitment, marketing, event planning and relationship development. A member of the enrollment services leadership team, she partnered with enrollment professionals and others on campus to recruit students.

She also coordinated multiple marketing initiatives and served on committees that focus on policies, budget and strategic planning for undergraduate admissions.

Earlier in her career, Bridwell built extensive recruitment networks and developed strategies to serve different student populations. She planned and implemented student recruitment efforts and helped students move through the admissions process.

“Tusculum has been an education leader for 225 years, and the university’s pioneering spirit provides a vibrant environment to recruit students,” Bridwell said. “We have a great story to tell about Tusculum’s strengths and growth initiatives, which will attract students who want to study on a dynamic campus and be well-prepared for a successful future.”
