Tusculum Jazz Band to perform concert at Music on the Square in Jonesborough

JONESBOROUGH – The Tusculum Jazz Band will entertain the audience with a diverse and lively two-set performance Friday, June 21, at Music on the Square in downtown Jonesborough.

The 7 p.m. concert is part of the Music on the Square series, which is held on Main Street in front of the Washington County Court House. This will be the second time the Tusculum Jazz Band has performed at this event, with the first one occurring in 2016.

In the first set, the band will perform songs such as “In the Mood,” arranged by Glen Miller; “I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” arranged by David Wolpe; “Can’t Buy Me Love,” arranged by Rick Stitzel; and “Dance Like No One is Watching,” written by Paul Clark. The second set will include “I Thought About You,” arranged by Mark Taylor; “Saving All My Love,” arranged by Paul Lavender; “Take the ‘A’ Train,” arranged by Vince Gassi; and “Hey Jude,” arranged by John Berry.

All songs will feature soloists.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to return to Jonesborough and perform in this beloved, longtime event,” said David Price, Tusculum’s director of music. “It is a relaxing atmosphere in a historic area, which creates a wonderful ambiance for the evening. We encourage the community to join us.”
