Tusculum holding open house for people interested in the adult and online studies program

KNOXVILLE – Anyone interested in enrolling in Tusculum University’s adult and online studies program will have an opportunity to learn more during an open house at the Knoxville campus Wednesday, March 31.

The event will be held from 4-6 p.m. and will enable people to receive an overview of the admission process, learn about financial aid opportunities and hear details about services available to first-generation students. Tusculum staff members will also share information about other campus resources available to AOS students.

On the academic side, attendees will have an opportunity to speak one on one with deans, faculty or staff members about the different areas of study available to AOS students.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a copy of their transcript so admission staff members can expedite their application and alert them at the event whether they are accepted.

Registration for the open house is at https://home.tusculum.edu/aos-undergraduate/open-house/. As safety measures, those who attend must wear a face covering and observe physical distancing. They can bring one guest.

The AOS program serves students pursuing associate and bachelor’s degrees who do not live on or commute to campus. They either take classes totally online or use a hybrid format of online coursework combined with one night a week in the classroom.

“The flexibility in our AOS program is perfect for working adults who might have jobs or families,” said Dr. Ramona Williams, vice president of enrollment management and financial aid. “Having a college degree is a great benefit for those who are seeking higher-paying jobs, and it is never too late to start. We are happy to help people work seamlessly through the application and admission process so they can further their academic dreams.”
