The cheerleading squad provides face painting during the tailgate. During the Sept. 20 tailgate, the cheerleaders raised money for the Wounded Warrior Project. <\/p><\/div>\n

Football games are becoming more of an event for the whole family with the Pioneer Pete Tailgate Party this year.<\/p>\n

Designed as an event for Tusculum students and the community, the Pioneer Pete Tailgate Party features music, games, food and activities for all ages.<\/p>\n

The tailgate includes games, inflatables, face painting, special displays and other activities.\u00a0 Food and other concessions from local vendors will be available.<\/p>\n

There is no charge for any of the tailgate activities except for food and a ticket to the game. The tailgates begin about two and a half hours prior to kickoff.<\/p>\n

The Pioneer football team was victorious in its home opener against the College of Faith, setting two NCAA defensive records and tying another.<\/p>\n

The remaining home games are on Oct. 11 Oct. 18, Nov. 1 and Nov. 6.<\/p>\n

Tusculum first\u00a0 South Atlantic Conference contest at home finds the Pioneers taking on Newberry College\u00a0 at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, <\/sup> for Breast Cancer Awareness Day and Local Church Day.\u00a0 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month as the Pioneers and their fans will be donning pink and will be raising funds and awareness in the battle against breast cancer.\u00a0 Tusculum will also be recognizing and honoring churches in the community as the Pioneers take on the Wolves at 2:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

The Pioneers will take on arch-rival Carson-Newman on Saturday, Oct. 18. for Homecoming 2014 as the game is slated to begin at 2:30 p.m.\u00a0 Be there for all the pageantry and tradition of homecoming weekend with the parade, alumni reunions and the homecoming court.\u00a0 It is also Sports Hall of Fame weekend as members of the 2014 induction class will be honored during the game.<\/p>\n

Tusculum hosts 2013 NCAA Playoff participant UNC Pembroke at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, for Senior Day.\u00a0 The Pioneers will honor its senior members of the football team as well as the senior members of the cheerleading squad and the Pioneer Marching Band prior to kickoff.\u00a0 It is also Family Weekend on the Greeneville campus.<\/p>\n

The Pioneers conclude their season at 7 p.m. on Nov. 6 against conference foe Brevard.\u00a0 There will be a fireworks display following the game.<\/p>\n
