{"id":14501,"date":"2016-12-21T14:43:24","date_gmt":"2016-12-21T14:43:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www3.tusculum.edu\/for\/?p=14501"},"modified":"2016-12-21T14:43:24","modified_gmt":"2016-12-21T14:43:24","slug":"dr-jo-alison-lobertini-named-assistant-vice-president-of-academic-affairs-at-tusculum-college","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www3.tusculum.edu\/news\/news\/2016\/dr-jo-alison-lobertini-named-assistant-vice-president-of-academic-affairs-at-tusculum-college\/","title":{"rendered":"Dr. Jo Alison Lobertini named assistant vice president of academic affairs at Tusculum College"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Jo Alison Lobertini will join Tusculum College in mid-January as the assistant vice president of Academic Affairs and assistant professor of literature.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Lobertini comes to Tusculum from Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa, where she served as dean of adult and graduate studies and interim chair of the Department of Accounting and Business Administration.<strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As assistant vice president for academic affairs, Dr. Lobertini will be responsible for the oversight of the operations of the Graduate and Professional Studies program, including delivery of instruction and support services and facilities at all off-site locations. She will work collaboratively with the vice president of enrollment management and marketing to assure GPS programs are fully enrolled and aggressively marketed.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, she will ensure compliance with the Principles of Accreditation of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges and with other accrediting agencies and is responsible for developing and maintaining, while assuring accuracy of all administrative publications and policy documents for the GPS program.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_14503\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-14503\" href=\"http:\/\/www3.tusculum.edu\/news\/news\/2016\/dr-jo-alison-lobertini-named-assistant-vice-president-of-academic-affairs-at-tusculum-college\/attachment\/lobertiniweb\/\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-14503\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-14503\" title=\"Lobertiniweb\" src=\"http:\/\/www3.tusculum.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/Lobertiniweb.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www3.tusculum.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/Lobertiniweb.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www3.tusculum.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/Lobertiniweb-290x290.jpg 290w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-14503\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Dr. Jo Alison Lobertini<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u201cWe are very pleased that Dr. Lobertini will be joining Tusculum College,\u201d said Dr. Nancy B. Moody, president of Tusculum College. \u201cHer experience in working with adult students and their particular educational needs make her a perfect match for this position. We look forward to having her as part of our academic and administrative teams.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In her career, Dr. Lobertini has served as dean of the College of Adult and Professional Studies at Friends University in Wichita, Kansas, and as assistant dean and chair of the School of Continuing Studies and Academic Outreach at East Tennessee State University. She also served as department chair during her time at ETSU.<\/p>\n<p>She has Doctorate of Education, in postsecondary and private sector leadership from East Tennessee State University, a Master of Arts in English from ETSU and a Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of Tennessee.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Lobertini has served on the Advisory Board for the Unicoi County\/Erwin Head Start and for the County Crisis Center.
