Students applying to Tusculum University for 2019-2020 will have the ability to do so through\u00a0The Common Application, a powerful online college application platform that serves and supports more than three million applicants, teachers and counselors across the United States and around the world every year.<\/h3>\n

\u201cBy becoming a\u00a0Common App member, Tusculum University will gain exposure to students who may not have otherwise considered the institution while making the application process more efficient,\u201d said Dr. Paul Pinckley, vice president of enrollment management, marketing and financial aid. \u201cOne-third of the more than one million Common App applicants are the first in their family to pursue a college degree. Serving students who are the first in their family to pursue a degree has long been one way Tusculum furthers its mission, so joining Common App is an excellent fit with Tusculum\u2019s core values.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to providing a single, online application and 24\/7\/365 support for all students applying to member colleges and universities, the Common App connects applicants to\u00a0financial aid and scholarship tools,\u00a0digital portfolios,\u00a0virtual mentors, a\u00a0Virtual Counselor, and a\u00a0library of resources\u00a0for counselors, advisors, and recommenders working with students to complete their college applications that includes\u00a0Spanish language translations.<\/p>\n

“The diversity of our membership is one of our greatest strengths,\u201d said Jenny Rickard, president & CEO of The Common Application. \u201cThrough membership with The Common Application, Tusculum University has demonstrated a shared commitment to pursuing access, equity, and integrity in the college admission process. Thanks to our members, all students, regardless of their background, have the opportunity to easily apply to the college or university that will help them achieve their best future.\u201d<\/p>\n

Students can\u00a0create\u00a0a Common App account now because their account will\u00a0roll over\u00a0from year to year. Beginning this year, Common App members will also begin using the newly introduced\u00a0Common App for transfer, a separate application designed exclusively to meet the needs of transfer and adult student populations.<\/p>\n
