GREENEVILLE<\/strong> \u2013 Tusculum University<\/a> will host a special event for 500-600 juniors in the Greene County school system to explore their academic and career opportunities.<\/h3>\n

The College Summit will be held from 8:50 a.m.-1:50 p.m. Friday, March 13, at multiple locations on Tusculum\u2019s Greeneville campus. About 25 representatives of higher education institutions and career fields will be present to speak with students. The summit will also provide students with access to speakers who will share more about college life.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis fun and informative event will help Greene County students explore their options and become more prepared for their next path after high school graduation,\u201d said Dr. Ramona Williams, Tusculum\u2019s vice president of enrollment management and financial aid. \u201cWhatever option these students choose, we want them to follow their aspirations, achieve success and lead fulfilling lives.\u201d<\/p>\n

While the event will contain many elements of a traditional college and career fair, Tusculum is adding to the quality by incorporating a variety of presentations. Representatives of Tusculum\u2019s admissions and Student Affairs teams will hold a panel discussion in which they discuss college life and various activities available on a higher education campus.<\/p>\n

In addition, representatives of Tusculum, the University of Tennessee, East Tennessee State University, the Tennessee College of Applied Technology, Walters State Community College and Northeast State Community College will provide seminars. Dr. Peter Noll, an associate professor of public history and museum studies at Tusculum, and a team from Tusculum\u2019s College of Science, Technology and Math will make presentations.<\/p>\n

Students will also have an opportunity to tour the Tusculum campus and enjoy lunch in the university\u2019s cafeteria.<\/p>\n
