GREENEVILLE <\/strong>\u2013 Students and community members who seek career guidance will benefit from the wisdom and experience of a Tusculum University<\/a> alumna<\/a> with extensive experience in the financial field during an upcoming event at the higher education institution.<\/h3>\n

Tiffany Greer<\/p><\/div>\n

Tiffany Greer, who works extensively in community engagement activities for First Horizon, will present \u201cHelp!\u00a0I need career advice:\u00a0Professionalism, Interviewing, and Financial Literacy\u201d Tuesday, April 15, at 6 p.m. in the Thomas J. Garland Library<\/a>. The presentation is free.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are excited to hear Tiffany share her insights on success after graduation,\u201d said Kathy Hipps, the library\u2019s director and Tusculum\u2019s coordinator of career services. \u201cTiffany has built an impressive career, one rooted not only in business success but also in serving the community. Her guidance for our students and community members who would like some additional tips will greatly assist them in their career development.\u201d<\/p>\n

Greer worked for a startup magazine and rose through the ranks at The Greeneville Sun. She also served as Wells Fargo as a home mortgage consultant and Capital Bank as a banking center manager. During her time at Wells Fargo, Greer received awards for outstanding performance for top volume for first-year producers. She led multiple banking centers through mergers and acquisitions in Greene and Cocke counties \u2013 from Capital Bank to First Tennessee to First Horizon.<\/p>\n

Now, Greer serves as the senior executive administrative assistant to the Tri-Cities market president and retail market leaders in Northeast Tennessee and Chattanooga. She is the local contact for First Horizon Foundation and a member of the corporate community relations team.<\/p>\n

She also serves as a community reinvestment act liaison, teaches financial literacy to all ages and helps more than 30 nonprofits with grant and partnership opportunities. Greer attends meetings with multiple Chambers of Commerce and local United Ways, manages and oversees sponsorships and client engagement with many entities, such as Bristol Motor Speedway.<\/p>\n

Greer has an extensive community service record as a volunteer. She is vice president of the Tusculum Alumni Executive Board, a tnAchieves mentor, treasurer for Boy Scouts Troop 94 and president-elect for Youth Builders of Greeneville. She is a Dale Carnegie Leadership Training and Greene County Partnership Adult Leadership graduate. She received the 40 Under Forty award from The Business Journal of Tri-Cities Tennessee\/Virginia.<\/p>\n

She earned her Master of Arts in Education from Tusculum in 2015. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in communications and public relations and a minor in business administration from Carson-Newman University.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am grateful for the invitation to speak to students and others and aim to provide them with practical approaches to successful careers and a financially secure life,\u201d Greer said. \u201cI welcome this opportunity to share these thoughts with students and others. My goal is to tell them what I have learned, and that will hopefully help them reach their goals.\u201d<\/p>\n
