GREENEVILLE<\/strong> \u2013 Prospective students and their families can explore campus and learn more about life at Tusculum University<\/a> at an open house during Homecoming<\/a> weekend.<\/h3>\n

Those who attend the open house will be able to experience the collegiate environment Tusculum students enjoy each day.<\/p><\/div>\n

The open house<\/a> will be held Saturday, Nov. 1. University leadership, faculty and staff will share critical information about enrollment in 2026 from 10-11 a.m. in the classrooms on the lower level of the Thomas J. Garland Library<\/a>. The rest of the day will provide multiple opportunities for potential new students and their families to experience other aspects of campus life, including a free lunch, free admission to Tusculum\u2019s Homecoming football<\/a> game and pregame activities.<\/p>\n

The event is designed for traditional undergraduate students as well as online undergraduate and graduate students. All elements of the open house are free.<\/p>\n

\u201cCome and see the beauty and history of our campus in the fall and discover how much fun people have at Tusculum,\u201d said Zack Kassebaum, vice president of enrollment management<\/a> and financial aid<\/a>. \u201cWe have valuable information to share at the open house that will help future college students in their decision-making process. Just as importantly, we want them to experience the excitement of our Homecoming game day, as well as the wonderful atmosphere at Tusculum.\u201d<\/p>\n

Participants are invited to come to Tusculum as early as 8:30 a.m. to walk around campus and visit the Tusculum Campus Store. At 9:30 a.m., staff from the Office of Admission will begin distributing name badges by the library classrooms.<\/p>\n

The 10 a.m. session will feature remarks from Dr. Scott Hummel, Tusculum\u2019s president; Dr. David Cook, provost and vice president of academic affairs; and representatives from the Office of Admission, the Office of Financial Aid, the Office of Student Affairs<\/a> and Student Support Services<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Afterward, prospective students and their families can take an abbreviated tour with admission representatives. Then, at noon, they can watch the Homecoming parade in front of the Scott M. Niswonger Commons followed by lunch in the cafeteria. After lunch, participants can further spend time on campus and visit the Campus Store. The last item of the day is the opportunity to see Tusculum\u2019s football team play Mars Hill University at Pioneer Field.<\/p>\n

As they spend time on campus, prospective students and their families can meet Tusculum students, alumni<\/a> and employees and also see people from the community, all of whom will be participating in Homecoming activities.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have intentionally built a fair amount of flex time into the schedule so our future Pioneers and other guests can relax and become more familiar with Tusculum,\u201d Kassebaum said. \u201cWe are excited to have them on campus so they can imagine life as a Tusculum student. Tusculum is an outstanding university, and prospective students and their families will see the institution\u2019s strengths during their visit. We look forward to having conversations and developing a connection with them.\u201d<\/p>\n
