Tusculum, Greene County Partnership agreement enhances affordable masters degrees

GREENEVILLETusculum University and the Greene County Partnership are building on their strong relationship with an agreement that will enable people to expand their education at an even more affordable cost.

Tusculum University and the Greene County Partnership have reached an agreement that will make attaining a Master of Business Administration or Master of Arts in talent development even more affordable.

The agreement provides a 10 percent tuition reduction to partnership employees and those enrolled in Leadership Greene County who are accepted into the Pioneer Master of Business Administration or Master of Arts in talent development degree programs.

“We are excited to add the Greene County Partnership and its excellent leadership program to the growing list of our partnering companies and academic institutions,” said Dr. Jacob Fait, dean of Tusculum’s College of Business. “We offer an extremely affordable MBA and Master of Arts in talent development and are pleased we can further assist people who seek to advance their business and training knowledge.”

The two academic degrees can be completed in as quickly as 12 months. One of the benefits of the Tusculum MBA program is the ability to participate in a comprehensive business project class in which students research and propose solutions to a business need. This can benefit a student’s employer and his or her career development, Dr. Fait said.

“Tusculum University is a valued member of the Greene County community and provides an exceptional learning experience for its students,” said Matt Garland, the partnership’s president and CEO. “We are thrilled our staff members and leadership program participants can access high-quality degrees from Tusculum at an even lower cost. This will position them for career success and help us attract companies through a well-educated workforce.”

Tusculum has also reached these agreements with the Tennessee Valley Authority, East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, Pilot Flying J, A.O. Smith and Pennsylvania College of Technology.
