Information Systems


The mission of Tusculum College’s Department of Information Services is to empower students, faculty and staff to utilize technology effectively and efficiently in finding, analyzing, using, and communicating information.

ABOUT INFORMATION SYSTEMS

The Tusculum College Department of Information Systems (TCDIS) installs and maintains the College’s essential communications and computer systems. These include various types of voice, data and video systems. The department works continually to improve the functionality and performance of these systems, as well as to research newer technologies which may benefit the College’s students, faculty and staff.

Among the essential systems maintained by the TCDIS are:

  • TCNet, including the TCWeb system
  • Email
  • VoIP phones
  • Mobile phones
  • Moodle
  • WordPress
  • Web sites and servers

As well, the TCDIS serves as the technology hub for the campus and provides laptops, projectors, and other technology to students, faculty and staff for classroom use.
