The second annual Tusculum College Parent Weekend is October 16 and 17.  Below are a few of the scheduled events for Parent Weekend

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16, 2009

“Take your student to dinner” night – Several restaurants in the area will be offering our Parent Weekend families either discounts on meals, free beverages, etc. Restaurants include Applebee’s, Fatz, Zaxby’s, Stan’s, Chocolate Cafe and Gondolier’s

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17, 2009

7:30 a.m. – Registration begins in Pioneer Perk (located in Niswonger Commons): All pre-registered parents will receive a 20% discount card to the Tusculum College Bookstore for Saturday, October 17, 2009 only.

8:00-10:00 a.m. – Breakfast in the Pioneer Perk – Panel discussion, including representatives from: Student Affairs, Freshman Services, Academic Resource Center, Academic Advising and a junior class rep; question and answer time; and learn how students can receive assistance, be involved in campus activities and also have fun.-$5.00 per person. We would also like to encourage your student(s) to attend the breakfast at no charge.

10:00-10:30 a.m. – Use your 20% discount in the TC Bookstore!

10:30-11:30 a.m. – Breakout Sessions – Hear about different programs/areas of the college, including the Center for Civic Advancement, internships, academic advising and graduate preparedness.

12:30-2:00 p.m. – Tailgate at Pioneer Park (the baseball stadium) – Meet President Nancy B. Moody, and join other parents, alumni and supporters of Tusculum College before the Pioneers take on Catawba at 2 p.m.
– Game tickets will be on sale at the tailgate or you can purchase them at the ticket booth two hours before game time – general admission tickets are $10.00 each
– Tailgate cost – $10.00 per person

2:00 p.m. – Tusculum College Pioneers Football game at Pioneer Field.
