luggageMove-in days are coming August 21 and 23 for new and returning students. Wondering what your student should bring and what should be left at home?

Check your list with this list from the Office of Student Affairs.

Must haves:
• extra long twin sheets/linens
• pillows
• bath towels
• shower shoes
• laundry detergent
• telephone
• shower caddy
• toiletries
• alarm clock
• surge protectors (UL approved)
• laundry basket.

Optional items:
• refrigerator (3.1 cubic feet or smaller)
• computer
• Ethernet card or cord (needed for network access)
• television
• microwave
• coffee maker
• answering machine
• stereo (no subwoofers)
• can opener
• lock box
• dry-erase board
• fan
• microwavable dishes
• iron/ironing board
• under-bed storage boxes
• sticky puddy
• tacky tape
• cleaning supplies

What NOT to bring
These items are not allowed in residence halls at Tusculum College: extension cords, candles, toaster/toaster ovens, George Forman grill, air conditioners, fireworks, hot plates, incense, guns (of any kind including pellet, water or paint), space heaters, lofts and popcorn popper.

Important dates
Move-in dates for the fall semester include:
• Bonner Leaders, Bridge program participants, Honor Leaders, Men’s Basketball team members, President’s Society, Student Government Association officers – Monday, August 17
• New students – Friday, August 21
• Returning students – Sunday, August 23
