Orientation activities welcome students to college life

orientationNew student orientation for 2009 begins with move-in on Friday, August 21, and ends on Sunday evening with a festival, after days of activities to help incoming freshmen and transfer students get acquainted with campus, each other and start their college experience with a solid, positive foundation.

Students will have the opportunity to learn more about the College’s academic programs, career development planning, work study positions and social issues of interest to college students. Several activities will give the students the opportunity to have fun and get to know their new classmates in a less formal environment, including a “Pioneer Palooza,” community picnic, small group sessions, a trip to the movies and even a run to Wal-Mart.
