Student Support Services is collecting donations for the Niswonger Children’s Hospital in the form of art and craft supplies. The project is called “Lend a Hand” and with the donations, the children at the hospital will be able to do more arts and crafts projects.
Donation items include:
Crayola color wonder sets
Toddler crayons/markers (washable)
Fuzzy black velvet art posters
Paint brush markers
Paint by number sets
Unpainted ceramics
Model Magic
Sand art
Sun catcher craft kits
Coloring and sticker books
Scissors (children’s size)
Colored pencils
Play dough and modeling clay
Construction paper (not opened)
Glue (not opened)
Stamps and stickers
Educational flash cards
Educational workbooks
Reading books
There is a donation box in the SSS office in Annie Hogan Byrd, Room 115. Items will be accepted until November 30, and Student Support Services staff would love to see this be a huge success for this campus. the supplies will be delivered by some of the SSS students around December 1. These art and craft supplies are in high demand, especially for some of the children at Niswonger who are in the hospital long term, such as the ones who are part of St. Jude’s. For these children, arts and crafts projects can be a really fun part of their day, so help SSS take them a lot of fun art supplies!
