To kick off the upcoming Men’s and Women’s Basketball season and get fans in the spirit to cheer on the Tusculum Pioneers, a community Pep Rally has been planned for Wednesday, November 9, from 7-10 p.m. in the Pioneer Arena on the Tusculum College campus.
Both Women’s Basketball Coach Adelle Harris and Men’s Basketball Coach Mike Jones will discuss their teams and the upcoming season, as well as introduce the players. In addition, both teams will be presented in 10-minute, intra-squad scrimmages.
Also featured at the Pep Rally will be the Pioneer Band, food, prizes and plenty of Tusculum College basketball spirit.
“We are extending an invitation to the community to join us as we get ready for an outstanding basketball season,” said Steven Hollingshead, the student organizer of the event. “We get such great support from our Pioneer Club members and others in the community. I really hope everyone will come out and help us get the season off to a great start.”
The event is free and open to the public and is sponsored by the Black United Students organization, the Tusculum College Pioneer Club and Tusculum College Athletics.
