Tusculum faculty members to share details about the graduate school experience

GREENEVILLE – Obtaining a graduate degree gives students an opportunity to develop more knowledge for their eventual career or enables them to seek advancement with their current employer or enter a new professional field.

Many people might have questions about graduate school, and a team of Tusculum University faculty members with firsthand experience of earning master’s and doctoral degrees will share important details with prospective students.

Tusculum will hold a roundtable discussion via the Zoom virtual platform called “Who, What, When, Where and Why of Graduate School.” The event will take place Wednesday, March 3, at 7 p.m.

Participating in the conversation will be the following Tusculum faculty members:

  • Dennis Ashford, assistant professor of chemistry
  • Kerri Boggs, assistant professor of biology
  • Ashley Rattner, assistant professor of English
  • Joshua Ray, associate professor of management and director of the Pioneer MBA program
  • Sabrina Reed, associate professor of sport studies

As part of the roundtable discussion, these faculty members will take questions from the virtual audience.

In addition, a representative of Tusculum’s admission department will share information about graduate degree programs available at the university.

“Having studied in graduate school ourselves, we welcome the opportunity to discuss our experiences and encourage people to pursue that next step in their education,” Dr. Ashford said. “Graduate school opened a lot more doors professionally and gave us that satisfaction derived from pursuing our dreams. We are pleased to be a resource and provide participants the information they need to make an informed choice.”
