The student body picked Konrad Sehler, a senior from Greeneville, and Jessica Silvers, a senior from Limestone, as king and queen, respectively. The two were crowned during halftime of Tusculum’s Homecoming football game against UVA Wise at Pioneer Field.

Sehler is a chemistry major and plans to pursue a doctorate in chemistry or chemical engineering. He has participated in research into new anti-cancer drugs that has been conducted by Tusculum chemistry and biology students. He intends to continue on a research path. He is the son of Kurt Sehler and Kathy Malone.

Silvers is a biology major with a pre-medical, dental and veterinary concentration, and she plans to enroll in a veterinarian school and become a large-animal veterinarian. She is the daughter of Kenneth and Jennifer Silvers.

Sehler and Silvers are members of the cheerleading team.

The student body also selected the rest of the Homecoming court – BriAnna Higgins, Samuel Sergio, Emily Head and Ayden Lightner from the freshman class; Madison Silvers, escorted by Kaleb Swanson, and Tori Caliendo, escorted by Jerry Ricker, from the sophomore class; Morgan Brown, Tres Silvers, Angela Sanchez and Justin Rodgers from the junior class; and Shay Hess, Savannah York, Benjamin Scartz and Will Samuelson from the senior class.

“We congratulate Konrad and Jessica on this terrific honor and express our gratitude to them for being strong contributors to student life at Tusculum,” said Maggie Vickers, president of the Student Government Association, which oversaw the selection process. “We also applaud the other members of the Homecoming court for being key members of the student body. Homecoming is a special time at Tusculum, and we are pleased to have such a strong court to reflect the importance of that week.”
