From 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, Tusculum and Chartwells, the university’s food service provider, will host “Thank-Ful,” a campuswide Friendsgiving event focused on celebrating togetherness, expressing gratitude and giving back to the community.
The event will include:
- Thank-Ful table: A large food table offering complimentary Thanksgiving menu items such as turkey, stuffing, baked macaroni and cheese, cranberry crumble and other holiday meal traditions
- Give-back projects: Hosting meal vouchers in conjunction with Student Affairs and the Tusculum Student Pantry to help fight food insecurity and create more good in the community
- Thank-Ful wall: A wall in the cafeteria offering people the opportunity to write a note of gratitude
“While the holiday season typically serves as a time for people to come together and reflect on everything for which they’re thankful, it also serves as one of the hungriest times of the year for people around the world,” said Dean Zoch, general manager of dining services at Tusculum. “To address this, Chartwells Higher Education and Tusculum are hosting ‘Thank-Ful’ to create a force for good by engaging the campus community to facilitate give back initiatives and donate campus meals to those less fortunate, all while celebrating togetherness.”
