Student Accounts Associate

Tusculum University invites applications for the position of Student Accounts Associate in the Business Office. This non-exempt role reports to the Business Office Manager and is responsible for maintaining accounts receivable and processing cash receipts in accordance with institutional policies and procedures. The Student Accounts Associate ensures the accuracy of financial transactions, supports compliance with accounting standards, and contributes to the efficient operation of the Business Office. This position does not have responsibility for departmental budgeting.

Required and Desired Education/Experience
• Associate’s degree in Business with major in accounting preferred
• 3-5 years accounting/bookkeeping experience

Essential Functions:
• Post charges/adjustments to the accounts and monitor for accuracy
• Process all student payments on accounts
• Receipt monies brought to the business office
• Prepare student statements
• Maintain open lines of communication with students, parents, and other departments
• Prepare bank deposits for various banks as necessary
• Perform all daily required closing procedures
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and supervisors.
• Maintain filing for student accounts
