Interim Technical Director

The College of Civic & Liberal Arts and Theatre-at-Tusculum invites applicants for an Interim Technical Director position for the 2023-2024 academic year, August 1- June 30. The Interim Technical Director is responsible for operating, maintaining, and protecting Tusculum University’s theatres and provides oversight over all technical elements—including load-in; set construction, lighting, and sound construction; and load-out—for all events within those theatres. Depending on experience and educational background, there might be also be opportunities for set, sound, and/or lighting design and teaching.

Assistant/ Associate Professor of Cell Biology

Women’s Head Basketball Coach

Campus Visit Coordinator

Tusculum University is seeking applications for a full-time Campus Visit Coordinator. This position is responsible for implementing and coordinating a successful, robust campus visit program.  Also responsible for hiring and training President Society members and providing full Support of the Office of Admission and recruitment activities and duties to include Dual Enrollment students to become full-time enrolled students.

Coordinate, assist and schedule all daily campus visits, tours and meetings with prospective students, to include meetings with academic offices, athletic offices and financial aid offices as requested by the student.  Coordinate and assist with admission sponsored events such as Open Houses, Preview Days, Sophomore Pioneer Preview Days, and Advance Registration Days.  Recruit and market the University to prospective students through telecounseling, campus visits, and personal representative communications.  Attend college fairs/nights and make individual visits to high schools and community colleges, as needed.  This may include overnight travel.  Focus on continued recruitment of Dual Enrollment students, in order to increase percentage enrolling as full-time Freshmen.  Maintain statistics of daily visitors to Tusculum University.  Compiles information into monthly, quarterly and annual reports.

BRIEF JOB SUMMARY:

The Associate Vice President for Institutional Advancement, serving as a member of the President’s Executive Cabinet, works closely with the President, Cabinet, and the Board of Trustees to ensure that the University strengthens and builds business relationships and has sufficient resources to carry out its mission. This position supports primary strategy, planning, and tactical elements leading all facets of the University’s advancement component, special events, endowment portfolio/prospects, and major gifts program such as; development, planned giving, alumni and community engagement, public relations/communications, and assist with campus ministries.  This position serves as IA’s leader; managing team members, budgets, outreach and related resources.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of tax and estate law helpful.

SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assistant Athletic Trainer

Ensure all communications are processed in a consistent and timely fashion using a variety of communication workflows for prospects, inquiries, applicants and accepted students.   • Bachelor’s degree in college recruitment, student counseling, communications, education, business or public relations sales, marketing, or other related field from a regionally accredited institution

  • Experience with software utilizing bulk emails and text, preferably Slate

Description:

Reporting to the Director of AOS Recruitment, this position is responsible for developing recruitment strategies for the Adult and Online Studies program and will act as the admissions liaison for students in both the online undergraduate and graduate programs. Some essential functions of the position are:

  • Assist incoming AOS students with accurate and consistent information.
  • Develop, organize, and implement recruitment strategies that generate prospect and lead pools for assigned territories.
  • Set-up and schedule all events for their territory
  • Aggressively recruit prospective students from interest through enrollment.
  • Maintain contact with prospective students and applicants through email, phone, mail, personal or social networking, etc. to encourage completion of the application file and enrollment.
  • Build and nurture community partnerships.

Some travel (daily and overnight) is required for local and regional recruitment. Occasional night and weekend work is required.
