Administrative Assistant to the Schools of Business and Technology/Education

DESCRIPTION:

Tusculum College is currently accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant to the Schools of Business & Technology and Education. This position provides direct support for the dean and faculty/staff of both schools. The position is responsible for planning, initiating, directing, and facilitating activities in support of both schools including: administrative paperwork, facilitating adjunct support, developing meeting minutes, event planning, and facilities management.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree from a regionally-accredited university is required, Master’s degree is preferred. Candidates for this position must have previous office experience, extensive knowledge of computers with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Publisher, Word, and Calendar Management). Note taking and transcription is preferred. This position requires strong organizational and data entry skills with the ability to multi-task. Articulate oral and written communication skills and customer service skills are mandatory. Applicants must possess a strong work ethic, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and be detail oriented. Assistant Professor/Instructor of Sport Management

This is a full-time faculty position with primary responsibilities in teaching Sport Management courses in the Sport Studies department, service to Tusculum and the community, and scholarly/professional development. Assistant/Associate Professor of Nursing

The School of Nursing, Health Sciences and Human Services at Tusculum College is seeking applications for a full-time nursing faculty member for the undergraduate nursing program beginning August 2018. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Nursing Preferred: Preferred qualifications are an earned doctorate degree in Nursing, or a related field, from an accredited institution, three years full-time college teaching experience that demonstrates excellence in teaching and student success, teaching experience with online and hybrid classes, and experience with regional and programmatic accreditation. If applicant holds a doctorate in related field, master’s degree must be in nursing.

Nursing Minimum: Minimum qualifications are an earned Master’s Degree in Nursing with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in nursing from an accredited college or university. Applicants should hold a current and unencumbered registered nurse license, or be eligible for licensure in the State of Tennessee; hold current AHA BLS certification, and should successfully clear a criminal background check and drug screening assessments. If applicants hold a master’s degree in nursing, he/she should be willing to continue their education by earning a doctorate in nursing.

Instructor of Biology

The Natural Sciences Department at Tusculum College invites applicants for a teaching position in Biology. Candidates should be passionate educators who can facilitate the needs of diverse learners. Student Support Services Academic Advisor

Tusculum College is currently accepting applications for full-time employment as Student Support Services Academic Advisor for the college’s ARCH ES Student Support Services TRIO Program housed at the Morristown, TN site. This is a full-time, 12-month position. The Student Support Services Academic Advisor will serve as the academic advisor of record for ARCHES Student Support Services participants at the Morristown site. This individual will be responsible for providing individual advising to students on academic matters such as the development of an academic plan, course selection, and academic performance review. The academic advisor will also guide students in development of decision-making skills to ensure students understand degree requirements as well as academic policies and procedures. In advancing the mission of the ARCHES Student Support Services program, the advisor will monitor students ‘ academic progress toward degree completion, promote integration into the collegiate community, facilitate select testing services, schedule/promote ARCHES events, and provide other academic support relative to TRIO Programs. Due to evening and weekend class schedules, some evening and/or weekend work is required.

Early Alert Program Coordinator
