The College of Health Sciences at Tusculum University is currently seeking founding faculty members for its Physician Assistant Program. Student Support Multicultural Outreach and Retention Specialist (Greeneville Campus)

Assistant or Associate Professor of the Athletic Training Education Program

DESCRIPTION:

Tusculum University is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor of the Athletic Training/Athletic trainer. This is a full-time faculty position with primary responsibilities in teaching athletic training courses and providing athletic trainer duties in the athletic department; service to the University and community; and scholarly/professional development.  Additional responsibilities include academic instruction/supervision of athletic training students and assisting the program director in maintaining compliance with CAATE accreditation standards and providing athletic training duties for athletic.  Faculty members are to be committed to excellence in teaching. Faculty members are expected to contribute toward the good of the University through the maintenance of expertise in the discipline, and sharing time and talents with the larger College community.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from an accredited college or university, current BOC certification, and hold a current and unencumbered license, or be eligible for licensure, as an athletic trainer in the State of Tennessee.  Preference will be given to candidates with a Master’s degree in Athletic Training and prior teaching experience.
