Tusculum University, a Presbyterian affiliated institution of higher education located on a scenic 140-acre campus in the Great Smoky Mountain region of Greeneville, Tennessee, invites applications and nominations for the position of Provost/Vice President of Academic Affairs. The Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs is responsible for the academic administration of the College. This position is the administrative liaison with internal and external constituencies regarding all academic matters. Duties include working with Deans to recruit and hire faculty, oversee promotions of faculty and staff, and supervise the operations of the curriculum, the General Education Program, the Thomas J. Garland Library, Arts Outreach, Center for Global Studies and Outreach, TRIO Programs, and Museums including staffing, institutional assessment and effectiveness, and budgetary oversight.
Qualifications and Requirements:
A terminal degree from an accredited institution is required; demonstrated successful experience in increasingly complex positions in higher education; college teaching experience is preferred; experience in private higher education is preferred. Other areas of experience include:
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to delegate duties,
• Compliance of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools – Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) criteria for accreditation in all academic areas;
• Budgeting process for areas of oversight;
• Academic program planning, assessment, evaluation, and improvement;
• Academic strategic planning and the ability to link budgeting and academic institutional effectiveness efforts; and
• Ability to develop collaborative relationships with educational institutions, especially community colleges and professional and graduate schools.

Coordinator of Residence Life and Programming

Assistant Athletic Trainer

Tusculum University is seeking qualified candidates for an Assistant Athletic Trainer. This is a full-time position with benefits. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Head Athletic Trainer with all aspects of the athletic training program and performing other duties as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer and/or Athletic Director. The successful candidate will serve as athletic training services provider for one or more NCAA Division II athletic teams (Baseball & Football). Health Science and Vision Science Librarian

College of Health Sciences – Optometry Program Founding Faculty

Through education, training, and mentoring, faculty members will provide students with the knowledge and confidence they need to succeed at the highest level of professional optometric services. These positions will be responsible for course preparation which will include lecture and laboratory presentations as well as student testing and evaluation, participating in and recommending curriculum development and evaluation, providing tutoring and office hours for students as needed, traditional scholarly activity and University service, and providing health care to patients at the Niswonger College of Optometry clinics.
