TRIO Community and Career Liaison Part-Time

DESCRIPTION:

This part-time position will provide administrative support for the Student Support Services TRIO community to engage TRIO alumni networks, recruitment of students to SSS programs, and planning of special events for the first-generation student community.

This position will collaborate with the SSS/ARCHES staff to facilitate recruitment, mentoring, and support of SSS participants. A major component of this position will be working with the TU Office of Alumni Engagement to build a supportive TRIO alumni network.  This position will assist in planning and facilitating SSS fundraising and special events. As a member of the SSS team, this person will also leverage community networks to assist with building career connections and support for current students. This is a part-time position to average 10-20 hours per week with more time as needed for special events.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

The ideal candidate would be a Tusculum TRIO alum with a Bachelor’s degree preferred, Associate’s degree required. The candidate should have experience with TRIO programs and first-generation, low-income student services.  Familiarity with Student Support Services and prior experience working with students from diverse backgrounds is preferred.  Skills should include computer database management, spreadsheet applications, exemplary organization and communication, and exceptional interpersonal qualities.

Assistant Cross Country and Track & Field Coach

DESCRIPTION

Tusculum University is a member of the NCAA Division II and the South Atlantic Conference is seeking qualified candidates for an Assistant Cross Country and Track & Field Coach. This is a full-time position with benefits.  The position will plan workouts, instruct distance workouts, sprints workouts, running technique skills to student-athletes while providing strength & conditioning to the team. The assistant will also serve in the capacity of active student-athlete recruiter and summer track and field camp coordinator with men’s and women’s track & field. This position will implement and manage all phases of a competitive Division II program in accordance with NCAA, Conference, and Tusculum University regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree required: Master’s degree preferred.  The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years collegiate coaching experience in long distance instruction, strategies to student-athletes, supervise student, and adhering to NCAA and conference rules.
