Assistant Registrar

DESCRIPTION:

Tusculum University is seeking applications for an Assistant Registrar.  This full-time position reports to the Associate Registrar and is based on the Greeneville campus.  The Assistant Registrar assists the Registrar and team in carrying out daily functions of the Registrar’s Office and assists students, staff, faculty, alumni and the community at large with general information. Reviews and updates procedures and automates processes; creates curriculum-related forms; maintains curriculum management system; works with deans and department chairs regarding curriculum updates; creates and maintains undergraduate/graduate and professional catalogs; builds and maintains courses for registration; evaluates transfer credit and confers degrees; builds degree audits; updates academic status; and possesses strong written and oral communication skills.  Analyzes and certifies academic course work for National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) certification. Assists with the preparation of the commencement program. Generates and analyzes reports for the Registrar’s Office.  Processes grade changes and transcript requests, and prepares training materials for office staff on updates to the Student Information System (SIS). This position strives to ensure data quality, accuracy, integrity and compliance with Federal and University policies and procedures.

General knowledge of records processes, ability to multi-task and network, ability to work as a team member, and attention to detail is helpful in this position.  It is important this person is not easily distracted and can take the initiative to complete their work in a timely manner.

Facilities Management II

DESCRIPTION:

Tusculum University is taking applications for Facilities Management II.  This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining university grounds, athletic fields and facilities, administrative buildings, staff and residential housing, and other institutional buildings.  Candidates must be able to walk extended distances and lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Advancement Services Specialist

Tusculum University is seeking a qualified Advancement Services Specialist in the Office of Institutional Advancement for full-time employment, overseeing the record maintenance and upkeep of Raiser’s Edge database, preparing reports, conducting prospect research and working closely with the Office of the President and the CFO/accounting department.

Upward Bound Associate Director

Tusculum University is currently accepting applications for an Upward Bound Associate Director. This is a 12-month, full-time position requiring some evening and weekend work. This position provides educational and career guidance to high school in students in Hawkins County as part of a program designed to encourage high school and college completion. Duties include identifying, recruiting and selecting participants; collecting and maintaining data; conducting small group sessions; designing and participating in program activities (requiring some physical exertion); collaboration with school personnel and parents; supervision of staff. This individual must have a commitment to the philosophy and goals of the program and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
