DESCRIPTION:
Tusculum University invites applications for the position of Associate Director of Student Support Services (SSS) and Director of Cornerstone. This is a 12-month, full-time, exempt position responsible for facilitating the academic success of at-risk student populations, including academically underprepared students and those from historically disadvantaged backgrounds. This position reports to the Director of Student Support Services.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Associate Director of SSS and Director of Cornerstone oversees the Cornerstone Summer Bridge Program and provides year-round academic support for participating students. The role includes supervising faculty, staff, and peer mentors/tutors, coordinating program schedules and activities, teaching a leadership course, and serving as an academic coach for Cornerstone students. This position also collaborates with Enrollment, Athletics, Tutoring, Marketing, and other campus partners to support student success, and serves as a liaison between Cornerstone and SSS.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Associate Director of SSS and Director of Cornerstone is responsible for managing the Cornerstone program, hiring and training peer mentors and study skills tutors, maintaining program and student records, and promoting program visibility across campus. Additional responsibilities include supporting SSS recruitment, facilitating referrals, maintaining budgets, annual SSS event planning, engaging in professional development, and contributing to TRIO initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must hold a master’s degree in counseling, educational psychology, higher education, student personnel, or a related field. Applicants should have experience working with disadvantaged and academically underprepared student populations, as well as providing collegiate academic advising. Tusculum University is currently hiring for the position of Head Coach – Women’s Flag Football for the inaugural Spring 2028 flag football season. Tusculum is a proud member of NCAA Division II and the South Atlantic Conference, with 24 varsity programs overall and 12 women’s sport offerings.
As Head Flag Football Coach, you will direct all facets of the program through planning and implementing all training and conditioning of student-athletes, coaching and instruction, recruiting, promotions and public relations, assuring academic progress, budget preparation, administration and management, and scheduling.
The Head Coach demonstrates extensive knowledge of sport-specific fundamentals, techniques, and strategies, and possesses knowledge of NCAA compliance rules. The incumbent must have the ability to identify, recruit, and retain competitive student-athletes and cultivate positive relationships with athletes, alumni, parents, and donors. The position frequently requires prolonged periods of moving around campus facilities and frequently requires after-hours work and travel.

DESCRIPTION:
Tusculum University is seeking qualified applicants for an Upward Bound Academic Advisor serving 9th-12th grade students in surrounding Cocke and Hawkins Counties. This 12-month, full-time position reports to the Director of Cocke/Hawkins Upward Bound and requires periodic evening and weekend work. The Academic Advisor provides educational and career guidance to high school students as part of the university’s Cocke/Hawkins Upward Bound program which is designed to encourage high school and college completion. Duties include identifying, recruiting, and selecting participants; collecting and maintaining data; conducting small group sessions; designing and participating in program activities (some activities require physical exertion); collaboration with school personnel and parents. Tusculum University is seeking qualified applicants for a TRIO Programs’ Talent Search Academic Advisor serving 6th-8th grade students in Cocke and Unicoi county. This 11-month, full-time outreach position is based at the main Greeneville campus of Tusculum University and reports to the Talent Search Project Director. Tusculum University is seeking applications for full-time Campus Safety Officers. Responsibilities include working to assure the safety and welfare of students, staff, faculty, invitees, and visitors on campus property, in campus facilities, and at institutional events by enforcing campus policies and regulations set forth by the College. The Facilities Management Team at Tusculum University is seeking applicants for a housekeeping staff member. The level 1 housekeeper is responsible for maintaining assigned buildings and grounds of administrative buildings, athletic facilities, staff housing, residential housing, and other institutional buildings in a clean, efficient, safe, and orderly fashion as designated by the supervisors. Work typically includes, but is not limited to, emptying trash, sweeping, mopping, and other light cleaning duties.

BRIEF JOB SUMMARY:
The Financial Aid Administrator effectively counsels students and parents on all aspects of financial aid. Represents the University and the financial aid office at special events on and off campus. Coordinates the student employment program. Manages scholarships, awards, and packages financial aid according to regulations and policy. Performs the day-to-day financial aid processes in coordination with other campus departments while maintaining mandatory compliance with internal policies as well as state and federal guidelines and laws. This position works with prospective and current students, as well as parents and families, and provides exceptional customer service. This position will work with Wolf recruited students to manage the awarding, monitoring, and disbursement of financial aid.
This position requires attention to detail, mathematical aptitude, effective oral, listening, and written communication skills, and works closely with other campus offices, including Admissions, Business Office, Registrar, and Athletics.
