Upward Bound Associate Director

Tusculum University is seeking qualified applicants for Associate Director of Upward Bound. This 12-month, full-time position will report to the Director of TRIO Programs and requires some evening and weekend work. The Associate Director recruits and serves first-generation and low-income high school students in Greene County, Hamblen County, Unicoi County, and Washington County, TN. The Associate Director manages the daily operation of the program including oversight of staff as well as recruitment of participants and facilitation of program activities including but not limited to tutoring, college readiness services, field trips, cultural enrichment events, and an immersive six-week residential summer academy on campus at Tusculum University. Candidates for this position must be comfortable conducting on-ground and virtual meetings. Proficiency using virtual meeting platforms is required. Additionally, candidates must be willing to work a flexible schedule to meet program participants’ needs.

The Upward Bound Associate Director is additionally responsible for collecting, maintaining, and reporting student outcomes data in accordance with Department of Education guidelines for federal TRIO Programs. Applicants must have a commitment to the philosophy and goals of the program and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Tusculum University a member of the NCAA Division II and the South Atlantic Conference is seeking applications for a Head Cross-Country and Track & Field Coach. This position will implement and manage all phases of a competitive Division II program in accordance with NCAA, Conference, and Tusculum University regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Description:

Tusculum University has exciting opportunities seeking multiple enrollment representatives (AOS and Graduate) responsible for developing recruitment strategies for assigned territories, generating interest, inquiries, applications and deposits that lead to achieving enrollment goals. Reporting to the Director of Admissions, enrollment representatives organize and execute daily, weekly and long term activities leading to enrollment for a variety of student populations including high school students, dual enrollment students, adult students and graduate students. Recruitment activities occur at local and regional events such as corporate partnership meetings, college fairs, high school visits, community college visits and other community activities to generate interest in the assigned territory. Local and regional presentations are scheduled to provide information to prospective student groups to explain admissions processes, procedures and other requirements for enrollment. Travel will be required to local schools, businesses, career fairs, and other locations primarily in Tennessee but include travel to the surrounding region. Please note that overnight travel is necessary especially during high recruitment periods in the fall and spring. Some night and weekend work is required.

Campus Safety Officer – Part-time

DESCRIPTION
Tusculum University is seeking applications for part-time Campus Safety Officers. Responsibilities include working to assure safety and welfare of students, staff, faculty, invitees, and visitors on campus property, in campus facilities, and at institutional events by enforcing campus policies and regulations as set forth by the College. Tusculum University is seeking an experienced Applications Support professional for the Greeneville, TN main campus to provide end-user and administrative support for all enterprise applications in both On Premises and SaaS environments.

The Applications Support Specialist works within a collaborative team in the Tusculum University Department of Information Systems for the purpose of providing support and analysis for enterprise applications. This role assists in the operational maintenance and coordination of all enterprise applications while maintaining appropriate communication with all stakeholder involved. The Applications Support Specialist contributes to process improvement efforts by gathering and analyzing data for both administrative and technical purposes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of troubleshooting and solving customer issues, supporting Enterprise clients, have experience working with Internet Application and Database technologies, as well as networking and identity management. The candidate demonstrates perseverance and is motivated by new challenges and opportunities for growth. The candidate can maintain composure in high-pressure situations and expresses tact and empathy to others with a conscientious attitude. This position reports to the Director of Information Systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance as needed for troubleshooting and customer service
  • Ensure technical problems are resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Perform application configuration and installations
  • Be primary point of contact for Enterprise clients and application vendors such as Ellucian Colleague and Campus Management/Anthology MIS, CRM, Canvas, Raiser’s Edge and associated applications
  • Review, design, code, modify, secure and test reporting programs
  • Work as vendor liaison in providing collaborative support, technical assistance and resolving functional issues
  • Ensure reporting documents and deliverables are complete, current and stored properly
  • Provide input regarding methods to increase operation efficiencies and technical product improvements
  • Maintain and create documentation around technical troubleshooting and best practices
  • Provide operational support for web site and web applications including hardware support for web servers
