Tusculum University invites qualified candidates to apply for the full-time position of Assistant Director of Financial Aid. The Assistant Director of Financial Aid will, under minimal supervision, assist the Director and Associate Director of Financial Aid in the implementation and administration of federal, state, institutional, and external aid awards. Areas of responsibility include monitoring and applying federal, state, and institutional aid; utilizing software to ensure efficient processing of student aid while maintaining compliance with state, federal, and institutional regulations; provide counseling and information sessions for students, parents, faculty, and staff.   • Provide counseling to families and students on how to pay for a Tusculum education, including all sources of assistance and the delivery system for financial aid.
  • Utilizing our financial aid management system (Colleague) and other operating system software, produce and process applications for financial aid; determine eligibility for federal, state, university and other aid programs for both undergraduate and graduate/professional students.
  • Resolve problems and respond to students and parent inquiries concerning the various financial aid program activities and processes, as well as provide counseling and guidance for families relative to the processing of their financial aid.
  • Achieve a broad knowledge and understanding of federal and institutional methodology as it relates to federal, state, university and other aid programs.
  • Accomplish required verification of the accuracy of financial data and other detailed information submitted by students and families on financial aid application materials.

We are currently seeking an enrollment representative to help develop recruitment strategies for traditional undergraduate students.  Positions work with athletes and non-athlete students. Reporting to the Director of Traditional Recruitment, enrollment representatives organize and implement recruitment strategies that generate prospects and lead to enrollment for a variety of student populations; including high school and dual enrollment students. Reporting directly to the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and Retention, the Coordinator of Residence Life and Programming serves as one of the primary professional contacts for residence life and is responsible for supervision of all residence life student staff and residence life programming. The College of Science, Technology, and Mathematics at Tusculum University is seeking applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Psychology.

This is a full-time position. Tusculum faculty are responsible for teaching a minimum of 12 credits in each of the fall and spring semesters, advising, service, scholarship, and professional development. . While Tusculum University is primarily a teaching institution, faculty are expected to participate in research for promotion. Provost/ Vice President for Academic Affairs- 52024

The Provost/VP of Academic Affairs has primary leadership responsibilities for strategic planning, implementing and coordinating educational programs, and academic affairs.  The Provost/ Vice President must work closely with the executive cabinet, academic deans, other administrators, and members of the faculty. While managerial functions related to curriculum and instruction rest with the deans, the Provost serves as a leader in long-term planning of educational programs, assuring quality of instruction, selection and development of a distinguished faculty, and furthering the strategic objectives and academic goals of Tusculum University, as well as budgetary oversight of such.

As Chief Academic officer, this position provides emotionally-intelligent, inclusive, strengths-based leadership to inspire and support faculty and staff to develop, deliver, assess and continually improve community and student-centered curricula and programs. The Vice President works under the general direction of the President with line authority over all academic programs to exercise professional judgment within broad latitude for strategic action to ensure optimum attainment of Tusculum’s mission.

Education & Experience:

  • A doctorate degree from an accredited institution required
  • Minimum of five (5) years progressively responsible administrative experience in a multi-department institution required
  • Knowledge and understanding of regional accreditation required
  • Knowledge and understanding of Southern Association of Colleges and Schools commission on Colleges  (SACSCOC) accreditation standards and reaffirmation process
  • Demonstrated competence in University teaching experience required.
