Facilities Management Level 1- 040125

The Facilities Management Team at Tusculum University is seeking applicants for a housekeeping staff member. The level 1 housekeeper is responsible for maintaining assigned buildings and grounds of administrative buildings, athletic facilities, staff housing, residential housing, and other institutional buildings in a clean, efficient, safe, and orderly fashion as designated by the supervisors. Work typically includes, but is not limited to, emptying trash, sweeping, mopping, and other light cleaning duties.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred;
  • One to three years’ experience and/or training in the above responsibilities;
  • May have a combination of education and experience.

Admissions Processing Clerk

Tusculum University is seeking applicants for our Admissions Department. The Admissions Processing Clerk is responsible for completing applicant files, making it possible for proper admission decisions to be made. File completion includes building physical files and extensive data entry work. The desired candidate will have excellent attention to detail to ensure the timely processing of application documents and submission of completed files for review. The candidate will provide counseling to families and students about admission status and needed documents and handle confidential material in a professional manner at all times.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma, or equivalent, required; college degree a plus
  • Prior data entry experience, including 10-Key is necessary
  • Experience with standard office machines, such as PC, adding machines, fax, etc.

Campus Safety Officer – Full-time 110124

Tusculum University is seeking applications for full-time Campus Safety Officers. Responsibilities include working to assure the safety and welfare of students, staff, faculty, invitees, and visitors on campus property, in campus facilities, and at institutional events by enforcing campus policies and regulations set forth by the College. The position will serve as the campus’s primary emergency response personnel and information contact. Works with other professional staff assigned to the Campus Safety program during shift and liaises with the other campus entities having a role in campus management (e.g., student life, facilities management, technical support, etc.). Support educational outreach in the areas of safety and welfare.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma or equivalent education that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to carry out said job duties
• Valid Tennessee driver’s license required
• Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Possession of a current State of Tennessee Security license (or eligibility for licensure)
• Previous security experience or related guard, police officer, or military background preferred.
• CPR and First Aid training preferred
• Ability to express oneself by employing good English-language skills for oral communication and writing daily reports
• Ability to read and interpret printed information
• Calm demeanor that can be maintained in emergencies
• The ability to accurately recall events or certain situations for proceedings

Asst./Assoc. Professor of Psychology- 011725

Tusculum University is seeking applications for an Instructor/Assistant Professor of Psychology for the Fall 2025 academic year with an emphasis in Behavioral Health. This is a full-time faculty position, responsible for teaching a minimum of 12 credit hours in each of the fall and spring semesters, advising, service, scholarship, and professional development.  The specific designation will be determined by the credentials a candidate possesses.

Founded in 1794, Tusculum is the first university in Tennessee and the twenty-eighth oldest in the nation. Located in the foothills of the Southern Appalachians, Tusculum provides successful applicants the opportunity to foster experiential learning in undergraduates. Candidates with a PhD or those who are ABD in the discipline are preferred; prior teaching experience is strongly preferred, along with experience in online teaching and course development. Candidates with at least 18 master’s level (or higher) credits in the discipline may be considered. Professional experience outside academics is preferred but not required. Assistant Athletic Trainer- 032625

Tusculum University (NCAA Division II) is seeking qualified candidates for an assistant athletic trainer position. This is a full-time position with benefits. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the head athletic trainer with all aspects of the athletic training program and performing other duties as assigned by the head athletic trainer and/or athletic director. The successful candidate will serve as an athletic training services provider for one or more NCAA Division II athletic teams (Football and Men’s/Women’s Golf).

Team travel, in addition to night, weekend, and holiday work, will be required. The successful candidate will also serve as a preceptor/clinical instructor as appropriate to allow students to have clinical experience. The candidate should possess effective time management skills, the ability to handle confidential information, and effective oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to serve as a professional role model for athletic training students.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s Degree is preferred

DESCRIPTION:

Tusculum University is accepting applications for (2) part-time Facilities Management positions. Candidates must be able to walk extended distances and lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Development Officer and Grants Manager

Tennessee’s first institution of higher learning is seeking applicants for the Director of Grants and Development. Located in the foothills of the Southern Appalachians, our campus offers 140 acres of beautiful walking trails, access to National Parks, and nearby restaurants, nightlife, and family activities.

The function of the Development Officer and Grants Manager is to gather documentation and fulfill the requirements of various funding bodies to secure funding on behalf of the University formally. The ideal candidate will be an excellent researcher who can locate funding organizations and ensure the grants align with our non-profit institution. They must also be astute writers who know how to properly appeal to funding organizations’ boards. In addition to the grant procurement process,  this position will also manage an assigned portfolio in

The Development Officer and Grants Manager will also assist with fundraising, campaigns, and events within the Institutional Advancement office. They will focus on cultivating constituent relationships, soliciting and retaining donors, and identifying and soliciting new donors.
