Facilities Management Supervisor

DESCRIPTION:

Tusculum College is accepting applications for a Facilities Management Supervisor.  The successful applicant must supervise a comprehensive program that includes housekeeping, building maintenance, grounds, and skilled trades.  This position ensures the maintenance of buildings, grounds, administrative buildings, athletic facilities, staff and residential housing, and other institutional buildings, and participates in campus planning for new construction, renovations and campus upkeep.  Plans and executes campus event setups and teardowns.  Qualifications include five years experience in a supervisory position, strong organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to multi-task and work independently and collaboratively.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree preferred. Qualified candidate must possess five (5) years experience in a supervisory position. Must be computer literate with excellent written and oral communication skills, strong organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to multi-task and work independently and collaboratively. Facilities Management II

Tusculum College is taking applications for Facilities Management II.  This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining College grounds, athletic fields and facilities, administrative buildings, staff and residential housing, and other institutional buildings.  Candidates must be able to walk extended distances and lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Talent Search Advisor

DESCRIPTION:

Tusculum College is currently accepting applications for a middle school Talent Search advisor. This is a 12-month, full-time position requiring weekly travel to schools in Unicoi and Cocke counties and occasional evening work. This position provides educational and career guidance to middle school students as part of a program designed to encourage high school and college completion. Duties include identifying, recruiting and selecting participants; collecting and maintaining data; conducting small group sessions; designing and participating in program activities (some of which entails physical exertion); collaboration with school personnel and parents. This individual must have a commitment to the philosophy and goals of the program and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) in counseling, psychology, education, social or behavioral science or related field. The successful candidate must have experience and familiarity with disadvantaged student populations. Preference will be given to candidates with previous TRIO experience and/or guidance, educational and/or career counseling as well as experience in overcoming barriers similar to those facing the target population.

Nursing Preferred:  Preferred qualifications are an earned doctorate degree in Nursing, or a related field, from an accredited institution, three years full-time college teaching experience that demonstrates excellence in teaching and student success, teaching experience with online and hybrid classes, and experience with regional and programmatic accreditation.   If applicant holds a doctorate in related field, master’s degree must be in nursing.

 

Nursing Minimum:  Minimum qualifications are an earned Master’s Degree in Nursing with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in nursing from an accredited college or university.  Applicants should hold a current and unencumbered registered nurse license, or be eligible for licensure in the State of Tennessee; hold current AHA BLS certification, and should successfully clear a criminal background check and drug screening assessments.  If applicants hold a master’s degree in nursing, he/she should be willing to continue their education by earning a doctorate in nursing.

Academic Records Specialist

Tusculum College is seeking applications for a full-time Academic Records Specialist. The primary responsibility of this position is to address inquiries (in person, telephone, fax and email), process class registrations and transcript requests, post and monitor grades, complete enrollment verifications, process withdraws, and maintain the office budget. Director of Institutional Research

DESCRIPTION:

Located in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains in Greeneville, Tennessee, Tusculum College, Tennessee’s oldest College, seeks an experienced institutional research professional to serve as Director of Institutional Research in the Office of Institutional Effectiveness.  Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Institutional Planning and Effectiveness, the Director is responsible for coordinating external reporting for the College, and College-wide student assessment using external instruments.  The Director works with a wide range of offices to provide regular and ad hoc data and analysis, and serves as a resource to College on the Colleague data system.  The Director must have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work well with various constituencies, and work independently.

The Director of Institutional Research enhances institutional effectiveness by meeting the data and analysis needs of executives, departmental administrators, and faculty.  The Director is responsible for providing data for external reporting of the College to agencies, including IPEDS, NCAA, SACSCOC, TICUA, Petersons, College Board, Military Friendly, etc.  The Director coordinates all external instruments for student assessment including, the Proficiency Profile, ACAT, NSSE, CIRP, and Noel-Levitz student satisfaction surveys; provides technical assistance in support of departmental test development, survey development, data standards, and other data needs and analysis; provides data for preparation of Fact Book, annual foundation applications, regular teaching load reports, and other ad hoc requests; and develops databases suitable for longitudinal studies and statistical analysis, such as with student retention.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s Degree is required preferably in research-intensive social science, math, statistics or information systems; institutional research experience required along with demonstrated ability to extract data from student information systems.  Applicants must possess excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Office, databases, and SPSS.  Experience with Datatel, Colleague or similar systems and SQL highly preferred.  Successful applicant must possess effective oral and written communication skills, the ability to work independently and with a wide-range of College offices and personnel, and work on multiple projects at a time. Director of Alumni Engagement

Tusculum College is seeking to fill the position of Director of Alumni Engagement in the Office of Institutional Advancement. This position will lead efforts to engage alumni in the life and work of Tusculum College through charitable contributions, volunteering and attending alumni events, including Homecoming and Family Weekends.  The Director will provide leadership for increasing alumni participation in giving, for organizing reunions and reunion giving, as well as providing support for the Alumni Executive Board. In addition, the Director will engage alumni through events and opportunities for volunteering, mentoring, speaking, and advising on and off campus. The Director will work closely with the Office of Institutional Advancement, the Office of Student Affairs, and the Office of Career Services.

Enrollment Representative – Morristown Center

Tusculum College is seeking applications for an Enrollment Representative at the Morristown Center. The primary responsibility of this position is to educate prospective students about Tusculum College and its programs. Candidates are required to develop a rapport with a variety of other constituents including business, faculty, TC staff, alumni, and current students. Travel will be extensive and on an “as needed” basis to local businesses, schools, career fairs, and expositions East Tennessee and surrounding borders. Telecounselors

DESCRIPTION:

The Office of Admission is currently seeking applications for three telecounseling positions that will work evenings 16-20 hours per week. The primary responsibility is to represent Tusculum by contacting prospective students of the College to educate them about scholarship opportunities and other important aspects of the admission process. This position requires the individual to sit for long periods at a time and wear a headset. The hours are Monday –Thursday from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, occasional weekend work may be required.

The Registrar’s position reports to the Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs.  The Registrar is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Graduate and Professional Studies and Residential College student registration and records, grade processing, graduation certification, athletic eligibility and veteran’s administration.  The Registrar directly supervises six full-time employees, and will support and promote the mission of Tusculum College to all faculty, staff, students, and to the community at large.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

A Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s preferred. A minimum of five years experience in a registrar’s office setting is preferred. Experience in student data management systems is required, (Colleague experience preferred). In addition, essential required qualifications include demonstrated experience in student records and systems development and implementation. Candidate must be able to handle multiple responsibilities, adapt to changing technology, possess a strong work ethic, be detail oriented, have strong organizational, supervisory and customer service skills, and be self-motivated. The Registrar must possess the ability to enforce college regulations while working with students, staff, and faculty in a very positive and collaborative way. The successful candidate must also possess   excellent interpersonal skills, planning, time management abilities, and the ability to interpret federal law as it applies to student records, and a devotion to academic tradition.
