Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach

DESCRIPTION:

Tusculum College, a member of the NCAA Division II and the South Atlantic Conference, is seeking applications for an Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach.  The ideal candidate will have assistant coaching experience preferably at an NCAA institution and will report directly to the head coach.  Candidate should demonstrate ability to manage daily office operations in the areas of recruiting, travel, skill instruction, camps/clinics, film exchange, and other duties as assigned by the head coach.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years collegiate coaching experience preferably at an NCAA institution, computer literate with exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to monitor crowd control.

Director of Graduate and Professional Studies (GPS) Services

DESCRIPTION:

The Director of GPS Services reports to the Vice President of Enrollment Management and Marketing/Director of Graduate and Professional Studies and works with Enrollment Management staff and faculty to coordinate academic programs related support services on the Knoxville and Morristown sites and to develop and meet student enrollment and retention goals for the Knoxville and Morristown sites. The Director of GPS Services coordinates with the Director of GPS Enrollment, the ARCHES program director, and the Knoxville Library Administrator to assure seamless provision of services to the students and faculty assigned to the Knoxville and Morristown sites. The Director of GPS Services is responsible for oversight of all operations, including facilities; security and support services of the Knoxville and Morristown Regional Centers of Tusculum College. The Director of GPS Services collaborates with the Director of GPS Enrollment to represent Tusculum College to key business, industry, community leaders and community college faculty, staff and administration and to promote and schedule community events and meetings on the Knoxville and Morristown sites. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: 

Candidates must possess a Master’s degree or higher in business, higher education administration, adult education or related field. Successful candidates must have experience in supervising staff in an educational setting, and at least five years’ experience with increasing responsibility in academic leadership in higher education, preferably in private higher education in enrollment or administration of an off-site campus. Qualifications also include demonstrated experience or knowledge of accreditation processes and products and experience collaborating with faculty and staff to meet goals and outcomes.

Enrollment Representative – Knoxville Center

DESCRIPTION:

Tusculum College is seeking applications for an Enrollment Representative at the Knoxville Center. The primary responsibility of this position is to educate prospective students about Tusculum College and its programs. Candidates are required to develop a rapport with a variety of other constituents including business, faculty, TC staff, alumni, and current students. Travel will be extensive and on an “as needed” basis to local businesses, schools, career fairs, and expositions East Tennessee and surrounding borders. Other duties include significant phone counseling, reviewing applications, interviewing, and assisting with recruitment related events.

Instructional Designer

Candidates should be passionate educators who can facilitate the needs of diverse learners. The selected person will provide instructional and program design expertise for the development and support of online courses and specialized distance educational programs. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting faculty in the design of online coursework/programs and instructional practices, development of learning resources and re-visioning of courses and course segments to electronic delivery methods. They will support the customized development of online courses unique to the needs of the instructor and students. Work is performed under limited supervision and performance is based upon completion of assignments and results obtained. Tusculum College, a Presbyterian USA, liberal arts, coeducational institution located in Greeneville, TN, is seeking a dynamic results-oriented Dean for the School of Education. Tusculum is a scenic 140-acre campus nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains with three off-site locations in Knoxville, Morristown and Kingsport, TN. The Dean of the School of Education shall be the administrative head of the School and will be responsible for assessment, growth and development of School programs, positive leadership of faculty, and effective operations of all aspects within the School. The Dean of the School of Education will be employed full-time for school administrative purposes.  This position coordinates the work of the School, will serve as the head of the Teacher Education Unit and interpret such work to the internal and external community, and will secure internal and external funding to support the academic programs of the School. This position will also be responsible for developing and implementing all curricula and curricular oversight policies and procedures to ensure School compliance with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).

Minimum qualifications include a terminal degree with a major in a discipline area within the School from an accredited university and three years full-time experience in teaching and administration.

Preferred qualifications include five years of successful administrative/teaching experience with demonstrated knowledge and experience in academic program development, grant writing and the promotion of faculty development in teaching, scholarship and service.  Also preferred is possession of the academic credentials for rank of Associate or Full Professor in a discipline in the School.   Professional experience, public school licensure and experience with National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE)/State Department of Education accreditation is advantageous.
