CAMPUS SAFETY OFFICER – Temporary

DESCRIPTION

Tusculum University is seeking applications for a temporary Campus Safety Officer. Responsibilities include working to assure safety and welfare of students, staff, faculty, invitees, and visitors on campus property, in campus facilities, and at institutional events by enforcing campus policies and regulations as set forth by the University. The position will serve as the primary emergency response personnel and information contact for the campus.  Works with other professional staff assigned to Campus Safety program during shift and liaises with the other campus entities having a role in campus management (e.g. student life, facilities management, technical support, etc.).  Support educational outreach in the areas of safety and welfare.

This position provides educational and career guidance to high school students in Cocke County as part of a program designed to encourage high school and college completion. Physician Assistant (PA) Program Founding Faculty

The College of Health Sciences at Tusculum University is currently seeking founding faculty members for its Physician Assistant Program. College of Health Sciences – Optometry Program Founding Faculty

DESCRIPTION:

Tusculum University is currently seeking faculty for its College of Health Sciences – Optometry Program. Candidates should be passionate and experienced regarding classroom and clinical instruction. Through education, training, and mentoring, faculty members will provide students with the knowledge and confidence they need to succeed at the highest level of professional optometric services. These positions will be responsible for course preparation which will include lecture and laboratory presentations as well as student testing and evaluation, participating in and recommending curriculum development and evaluation, providing tutoring and office hours for students as needed, traditional scholarly activity and University service, and providing health care to patients at the Niswonger College of Optometry clinics.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum requirements include an O.D. and/or Ph.D. (or equivalent) in a discipline related to optometry or its associated basic sciences. Optometrist applicants should be eligible for licensure in the state of Tennessee and are expected to participate in patient care services. The successful applicant will have excellent organization, communication, teaching and decision-making skills. Prior college teaching experience is strongly preferred. Must be able to travel between different locations and/or clinical sites as needed
