Facilities Management III

DESCRIPTION:

Tusculum College is taking applications for Facilities Management III.  This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining College grounds, athletic fields and facilities, administrative buildings, staff and residential housing, and other institutional buildings.  Candidates must be able to walk extended distances and lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED and possess a valid Drivers License, and have a minimum of two years experience cleaning and maintaining buildings and grounds Candidate must be able to withstand exposure to hot/cold temperatures and outside weather conditions, and must be flexible with schedule in order to cover events/activities, emergencies, etc.

Telecounselors

DESCRIPTION:

The Office of Admission is currently seeking applications for three telecounseling positions that will work evenings 16-20 hours per week. The primary responsibility is to represent Tusculum by contacting prospective students of the College to educate them about scholarship opportunities and other important aspects of the admission process. This position requires the individual to sit for long periods at a time and wear a headset. The hours are Monday –Thursday from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, occasional weekend work may be required.

The anticipated start date is October 17, 2017; review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the positions are filled.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

The candidate for this position should have previous office experience and strong data-entry skills with the ability to multi-task. Articulate oral communications skills and customer service skills are mandatory. Assistant Football Coach

Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach

Registrar

DESCRIPTION:

Tusculum College is seeking applications for a full-time Registrar. The Registrar’s position reports to the Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs.  The Registrar is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Graduate and Professional Studies and Residential College student registration and records, grade processing, graduation certification, athletic eligibility and veteran’s administration.  The Registrar directly supervises six full-time employees, and will support and promote the mission of Tusculum College to all faculty, staff, students, and to the community at large.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

A Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s preferred. A minimum of five years experience in a registrar’s office setting is preferred. Experience in student data management systems is required, (Colleague experience preferred). In addition, essential required qualifications include demonstrated experience in student records and systems development and implementation. Candidate must be able to handle multiple responsibilities, adapt to changing technology, possess a strong work ethic, be detail oriented, have strong organizational, supervisory and customer service skills, and be self-motivated. Academic Advisor, Southeast Region (Knoxville Regional Center)

Tusculum College’s Knoxville Regional Center is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Academic Advisor for the southeast region. Responsibilities of this position include providing individual academic advising to students on academic matters such as the development of an academic plan, course selection, and academic performance review and guiding students in development of decision-making skills. Ensuring students understand degree requirements as well as academic policies and procedures. The successful candidate must provide outstanding service to a diverse non-traditional student population in a fast-paced team environment. Facilities Management Level IV

DESCRIPTION:

Tusculum College is accepting applications for a Facilities Management IV.  This position reports to the Director of Facilities Management.  The successful applicant will have electrical experience, with electrical certification a plus.  Preference will be given to the candidate possessing knowledge and experience in several other specialty areas, including HVAC, plumbing, master carpentry, masonry, or other maintenance and construction skilled work on athletic facilities, College buildings and fixtures, including administrative buildings, staff and residential housing, and other institutional buildings for efficient operations.  Duties include inspecting, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing issues, repairing, overhauling, new installations, and refitting with specialty areas and assist in all other areas.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Five years experience in a maintenance position, EPA universal certification a plus.  Candidate must possess strong organizational and analytical skills along with the ability to multi-task, and possess the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Good driving record is required.

Assistant Athletic Trainer (Track & Field)

Tusculum is seeking qualified candidates for an Assistant Athletic Trainer. This is a full-time position with benefits. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Head Athletic Trainer with all aspects of the athletic training program and performing other duties as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer and/or Athletic Director. Graduate & Professional Studies Adjunct Faculty

The Graduate and Professional Studies program of Tusculum College seeks qualified adjunct faculty for the following teaching positions listed below.  GPS offers non-traditional, accelerated, adult-oriented classes. Most classes meet once a week for six weeks and are offered in the evening or on the weekends in upper East Tennessee.  Prior experience with adult students is preferred as well as experience teaching web-enhanced courses using an on-line course delivery system. 

Master of Arts in Education Programs –  Curriculum & Instruction and MAT – Terminal degree and at least 18 graduate hours in Education, Special Education, Reading, English, Science, Math or Art and experience in an Elementary or Secondary Education classroom.
