Assistant Athletic Trainer

DESCRIPTION:

Tusculum University is seeking qualified candidates for an Assistant Athletic Trainer. This is a full-time position with benefits. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Head Athletic Trainer with all aspects of the athletic training program and performing other duties as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer and/or Athletic Director. The successful candidate will serve as athletic training services provider for one or more NCAA Division II athletic teams (Women’s Volleyball and Men’s Volleyball) as well as administration of the University’s athletic accident insurance program. Team travel as well as night, weekend, and holiday work will be required.

Associate Director of Talent Search

Tusculum University is seeking qualified applicants for Associate Director of Talent Search, a federal TRIO Program serving middle and high school students in Cocke County and Unicoi County, Tennessee.  This 12-month full-time position report to the Director of TRIO Programs and requires some evening and weekend work.  The Associate Director is responsible for the daily operation of the Talen Search program including supervision of staff and program implementation.   The Talent Search program is designed to encourage 513 middle and high school students in Cocke and Unicoi Counties to pursue post-secondary education. Talent Search serves students who meet income eligibility guidelines, are potential first-generation college students, and/or demonstrate a need for services. The Associate Director is responsible for recruitment, retention, and participation of program participants in accordance to federal regulations. The Associate Director will supervise the planning and coordination, implementation, and evaluation of academic, social, and cultural programs for students and families. Additional responsibilities include collecting, maintaining, and reporting student outcomes data in accordance with Department of Education Annual Performance Report guidelines for federal TRIO Programs. Associate Director Upward Bound

Tusculum University is seeking qualified applicants for Associate Director of Upward Bound Cocke-Hawkins.  This 12 month full-time position will report to the Director of TRIO Programs and requires some evening and weekend work.  The Associate Director recruits and serves first-generation and low-income high school students in Cocke County and Hawkins County Tennessee.  The Associate Director manages the daily operation of the program including oversight of staff as well as recruitment of participants and facilitation of program activities including but not limited to tutoring, college readiness services, field trips, cultural enrichments events, and an immersive six-week summer program.  Candidates for this position must be comfortable conduction virtual meetings and proficient using virtual meeting platforms.  Additionally, candidates must be willing to work flexible schedules to meet program participants’ needs

Adjunct Faculty, College of Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner Program

The College of Nursing at Tusculum University invites applicants for an adjunct faculty position (online and face-to-face) in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program. This position will also serve part-time in the Tusculum University Student Health Clinic. Candidates should be passionate educators who can facilitate the needs of diverse learners.

Instructors are responsible for leveraging their expertise to deliver education services to students by:

  • Implementing the Tusculum University mission and program curricula
  • Teaching didactic and clinical courses in MSN Nurse Practitioner program

  • Contributing to the ongoing development and evaluation of the programs including planning and evaluating specific course offerings

Providers are responsible to perform medical services as a member of a physician-directed health care team specializing in family practice care through:

  • Providing outpatient ambulatory care for students
  • Promoting preventive health care
  • Participating in administrative conferences and staff meetings
  • Attending continuing medical education seminars

The anticipated start date is Spring 2021.

Requirements:

Candidates must be a PhD- or DNP-prepared Family Nurse Practitioner with at least 2 years clinical experience as a nurse practitioner and prior teaching experience in a graduate-level program. This is a part-time, temporary position that may require day, evening and/or weekend availability.
