This position reports to the Dean of Students and serves as the primary professional contact for residence life and student organizations. Intern Athletic Trainer

Tusculum University is seeking two (2) applicants for the position of Athletic Trainer Internship. These are positions are designed to support Tusculum’s 600+ student-athletes competing in 30 sports while providing the opportunity to gain experience as an entry level Certified Athletic Trainer. Primary responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to: assisting the Head Athletic Trainer with all aspects of the athletic training program and performing other duties assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer and/or Athletic Director. Final primary sport responsibility will be determined during the interview process and will be based on experience. Some team travel as well as night, weekends, and holiday work will be required.

These positions will be 30 hours/week for 35 weeks from approximately August 1st to May 7th and may be renewed for an additional year. These will be considered part-time positions.

Requirements:

Candidates must be a PhD- or DNP-prepared Family Nurse Practitioner with at least 2 years clinical experience as a nurse practitioner and prior teaching experience in a graduate-level program. This is a part-time, temporary position that may require day, evening and/or weekend availability.
