Human Resources Assistant

Acting as the initial point of contact for clients of human resources, the HR Assistant performs a variety of support services to fulfill needs such as; recruitment and onboarding processes, HRIS and records maintenance, department billing functions, training, benefits, and leave support, and employee/customer relations.  Having a High School diploma (AS or BS preferred), and at least 1-year of HR/administrative experience working with standard office software and cloud-based technologies, the ideal candidate is a curious and resourceful self-starter who enjoys delivering results using a can-do, service-oriented attitude.  Knowledge and familiarity of HR laws and applications desired.  Excellent organization, problem-solving, and communication skills.  Proven HR experience preferred.

The Dean of the College of Business will be employed for school administrative purposes, and shall devote remaining workload to teaching, scholarship and/or service. The Dean will secure internal and external funding to support existing and developing academic programs within the College.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Terminal degree with a major in a discipline area within the College from an accredited university and three years of full-time experience in academic administration (program director/department chair or higher); experience as an assistant, associate, or full dean preferred;
  • Experience developing innovative, market-driven curricular programs;
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in academic program development, grant writing and the promotion of faculty development in teaching, scholarship and service;
  • Also preferred is possession of the academic credentials for rank of Associate or Full Professor in a discipline in the College;
  • Experience as an instructor at the baccalaureate and master’s degree levels; and
  • Experience with business accreditation; experience leading business accreditation efforts with ACBSP preferred

Director of AOS Recruitment

Description:

Reporting to the Executive Director of Admissions, this position provides strategic leadership for the recruitment and onboarding of AOS students.

  • Assist incoming AOS students with accurate and consistent information;
  • Participate in the day-to-day management of engagement with prospective AOS students through monitoring of timely inquiry fulfillment, customer service and organization of daily office responsibilities;
  • Set goals, expectations, priorities and measures of success for AOS recruiting and onboarding; Prioritize and distribute work assignments for AOS recruiters in collaboration with the Executive Director of Admissions;
  • Coordinate with the Executive Director of Admissions for training opportunities for AOS recruiters;
  • Track accountability for goals and outreach efforts, and lead AOS student onboarding activities (e.g. orientation);
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director of Admissions to forecast and monitor budgetary expenditures for AOS recruiting and onboarding;
  • Lead expansion of corporate partnership networks;
  • Coordinate with the Executive Director of Admission to plan and implement recruitment activities and events for AOS students, including programs and travel activities;
  • Assist with residential recruitment efforts when possible helping meet the goals of the overall office of admissions

Some travel (daily and overnight) is required for local and regional recruitment. Occasional night and weekend work is required.

Campus Safety Officer – Part-time

DESCRIPTION
Tusculum University is seeking applications for part-time Campus Safety Officers. Responsibilities include working to assure safety and welfare of students, staff, faculty, invitees, and visitors on campus property, in campus facilities, and at institutional events by enforcing campus policies and regulations as set forth by the College. The position will serve as the primary emergency response personnel and information contact for the campus. Works with other professional staff assigned to Campus Safety program during shift and liaises with the other campus entities having a role in campus management (e.g. student life, facilities management, technical support, etc.).
