Assistant Volleyball Coach

DESCRIPTION:

Tusculum College, a member of the NCAA Division II and the South Atlantic Conference, is seeking applications for an Assistant Volleyball Coach. The ideal candidate will have assistant coaching experience preferably at an NCAA institution and will report directly to the head coach.  Candidate should demonstrate ability to manage daily office operations in the areas of recruiting, travel, skill instruction, camps/clinics, film exchange, and other duties as assigned by the head coach.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years collegiate coaching experience preferably at an NCAA institution, computer literate with exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to monitor crowd control.

Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach

DESCRIPTION:

Tusculum College a member of the NCAA Division II and the South Atlantic Conference is seeking applications for a Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach. This position will implement and manage all phases of a competitive Division II program in accordance with NCAA, Conference, and Tusculum College regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in the field of Tennis.  Teaching professionals and/or previous head coaching experience will be expected.  The ability to manage budget, fund raising experience, and a record of success in attracting quality student athletics in a small college environment is required.

Student Support Services Academic Advisor

DESCRIPTION:

Tusculum College is currently accepting applications for full-time employment as Student Support Services Academic Advisor for the college’s ARCHES Student Support Services TRIO Program housed at the Morristown, TN site. This is a full-time, 12-month position. The Student Support Services Academic Advisor will serve as the academic advisor of record for ARCHES Student Support Services participants at the Morristown site. This individual will be responsible for providing individual advising to students on academic matters such as the development of an academic plan, course selection, and academic performance review. The academic advisor will also guide students in development of decision-making skills to ensure students understand degree requirements as well as academic policies and procedures. In advancing the mission of the ARCHES Student Support Services program, the advisor will monitor students’ academic progress toward degree completion, promote integration into the collegiate community, facilitate select testing services, schedule/promote ARCHES events, and provide other academic support relative to TRIO Programs. Due to evening and weekend class schedules, some evening and/or weekend work is required.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants must have a master’s degree in education, social or behavioral sciences, counseling, college student personnel, or related field. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working with diverse populations—particularly non-traditional/adult learner students. Previous experience with TRIO Programs or experience in education and/or social service fields is desirable.

Director for the Tusculum Fund

DESCRIPTION:

The Office of Institutional Advancement at Tusculum College seeks a full-time Director for the Tusculum Fund.  The individual will plan, execute and oversee all aspects of Tusculum College’s annual fund including, but not limited to, identifying, cultivating and soliciting prospective donors for leadership gifts, direct mail and email campaigns, faculty and staff fundraising, the Pioneer Philanthropy Council, and the student Phonathon campaign.  This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is interested in advancing in the world of fundraising and development work.  This position reports directly to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement and supervises the Assistant Director of the Tusculum Fund.  The position does require evening and weekend work, as well as some travel.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills and social media savvy, as well as enthusiasm and creativity are necessary.  A Bachelor’s degree and previous supervisory experience are required.  Experience in annual fund management and fundraising, preferably in higher education, is preferred.  Equivalent or similar experience working with a non-profit or in business/sales experience will be considered.  Tusculum College graduates are highly encouraged to apply!

Program Coordinator, Center for Civic Advancement and Bonner Program

DESCRIPTION:

Tusculum College is seeking applications for a Program Coordinator of the Center for Civic Advancement.  This position coordinates student outreach and special programming for the Center for Civic Advancement, identifying and executing solutions to community needs and challenges, utilizing Tusculum College student groups and academic classes. This position also serves as the Bonner Leader Program Coordinator, supervising and directing students in the Bonner Leader Program for related programming, special events, and trainings, facilitating relationships between peer institutions and the Bonner Foundation, and performing administrative tasks related to the Bonner AmeriCorps system.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree. Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to service, community outreach, and social justice. This position requires excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure while exercising tact, diplomacy and a sense of humor. Successful candidates must exemplify Tusculum College’s Mission of civic engagement and civic responsibility.  Candidates should have knowledge of and aptitude for working with databases, WordPress, and computer programs within the Microsoft Office Suite.

Graduate & Professional Studies Adjunct Faculty

The Graduate and Professional Studies program of Tusculum College seeks qualified adjunct faculty for the following teaching positions listed below.  GPS offers non-traditional, accelerated, adult-oriented classes. Most classes meet once a week for six weeks and are offered in the evening or on the weekends in upper East Tennessee.  Prior experience with adult students is preferred as well as experience teaching web-enhanced courses using an on-line course delivery system. 

Master of Arts in Education Programs –  Curriculum & Instruction and MAT – Terminal degree and at least 18 graduate hours in Education, Special Education, Reading, English, Science, Math or Art and experience in an Elementary or Secondary Education classroom.
